I attempted to have an online conversation with Dr. Spitznas about his public "diagnosis" of President Trump on the Patheos website where he maintains a profile. I found him to be emotionally and verbally abusive, quick to use disparaging name-calling (and quick to enlist his followers in doing likewise), also unable to have a conversation about correct procedures for making a diagnosis or the characteristics of the DSM. Would have taken it up with him, but couldn't because he banned me from his site, accusing me of un-identified "nastiness." I am retired from social work, and this is not my first encounter with unprofessional mental health "professionals," but Andrew Spitznas takes it to a whole new level. I view him as a public nuisance, if not an outright public danger.
