Dr. Andrew Alan Talkington, MD

I have a history of ADD, however being a very misunderstood disorder and living in a college town where adderall is abused, i went in for a refill and Dr. Andrew Talkington was very rude in his way of addressing my problem. It was my first appointment with him because they opened a new clinic closer to where i live and he treated me like i didnt have a problem and refused to renew my prescription. I told him to schedule me for ADD testing if thats what was required to get my prescription back and he at least did that. I would not recommend him to anyone as he is clearly stuck in his own beliefs, doesn't listen to the patient, and is prejudice. Ask for a different doctor if you go to wedgewood family practice. I even told him at the end of the visit that i feel it wasnt right that he assumed i was just trying to get my adderall to abuse it when there are people who really do struggle with ADD and it ruins their lives. His response was simply "I try to do the best with the time i have,… you are more than welcomed to go to another doctor if you would like." What a joke!
