Dr. Andrew I Topf, MD

I saw Dr. Topf six weeks after I had my gallbladder removed. I had extreme pain on my left side. After listening to me without any diagnostic testing, Dr. Topf told me my surgeon cut a nerve and it will take a long time to heal. I started to cry and Dr. Topf said he had to make a phone call and he told me to wait in the hall. The next thing is that 3 security guards were sent to deal with me because I was crying. Don't see him.

He is an unprofessional jerk. He made referrals and opinions and judgements of me AND NEVER EVEN SAW ME. I am going to she him for slander and I would advise anyone and everyone to stay far away from this animal.

Dr.Topf treated me with an epidural injection which left me in more pain than before. When I conferred with him about this situation he did not show any compassion, told me bluntly that he could not treat me any more, and suggested I find another dr. I felt a total lack of respect or concern.

Dr. Topf is knowledgable and highly competent. He is an able diagnostician, and is effective in cummunicating to you what he thinks the best course of treatment is and why. The problem is his bedside manner. He always seems to have lots of other things on his mind, and always appears rushed. While he was examining me in his office, he was taking phone calls, signing charts brought in by his nurse, and appeared distracted. Nevertheless the care I got from him was first rate.
