Dr. Andrew James Vardanian, MD

Nice doctor, but was not helpful for my situation. Had come in with a slow healing/superficial type of closed wound and was told they couldn't do much about it. My insurance was charged $858 for the doctor's consultation and $290 for the clinic visit (UCLA Center for Wound Healing and Limb Preservation) and had to take care of myself.

Dr. Vardanian and his team healed a groin/thigh wound that other doctors couldn't over 2 years. The wound had grown to the size and appearance of a raw steak. I was even looking at a huge skin graft. When I finally and fortunately found Dr. Vardanian, the wound healed after about 4 months. No skin graft. Highly, highly recommend Dr. V, his team and UCLA Health.

I had a radiation scar wound while Dr Vardanian was in Florida that no one could help. He genuinely took interest and his plan worked beautiful. It had been many years with this issues and with his help we were able to see tissue grow where it would not. I can’t say enough about his caring and professionalism that he gave me.

My primary doctor is a UCLA group doctor. She referred me to this UCLA plastic surgery group to remove a lipoma on the back of my head. It took some time to get an appointment and it was with Dr. Vardanian. I met with the doctor and he was pleasant but he didn't really tell me anything that my primary care doctor had already told me. He was going to check with my insurance regarding coverage. I called a few days later but they said they hadn't submitted yet. I waited a week and then emailed a message through the UCLA Health org app regarding the status. The person responded that it was submitted and they will notify me when they get an update. The doctor billed me $500 for the consultation for surgery which they never notified me or performed. I sent a follow up message but no response.

Compassionate and especially talented in wound care. He’s punctual and reassuring.... so glad he’s our doc!

Dr. Vardanian is a great surgeon but above all, a great human being. He is kind, compassionate and treats his patients well. I highly recommend him.
