Dr. Young loves orthodontics! He cares about his patients and is passionate about achieving great results with outstanding customer service. He also enjoys getting to know each of his patients and watching their transformation during their orthodontic treatment. Education
Growing up as the son of a teacher and school superintendent, Dr. Young has always known the value of education. After graduating as valedictorian from his high school, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from the University of Wyoming where he graduated magna cum laude with a 4.0 GPA.
He then completed four years of dental school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Young graduated ranked #1 in his class. While in dental school, he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon …dental fraternity and became a member of the Alpha Omega fraternity, a position reserved for the top ranking dental student.
After dental school, Dr. Young began his residency in the Department of Orthodontics at Baylor College of Dentistry, widely known as one of the top orthodontic residency programs in the world. During his 27-month orthodontic residency, he was involved in research and teaching while earning a Master's degree in oral biology.
Continuing Education
Dr. Young has chosen to gear his practice toward the latest advances in orthodontic research and technology. Participating in continuing education ensures that he and his team are well versed in the current advances in orthodontics and are able to utilize the best techniques to yield a healthy, beautiful smile. He feels that lifelong learning is essential to guarantee quality orthodontic results at Young Orthodontics for many years to come.

Dr. Young is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and maintain memberships with numerous prestigious organizations, including:

Outside the Office
Dr. Young currently lives in Overland Park with his wife, Bree, their three daughters, Kinsley, Campbell, and Finley, and his two Brittany Spaniels, Dixie and Derby. In his free time he enjoys all outdoor activities including golfing, wakeboarding, fishing, and hunting. Dr. Young is a huge sports fan and especially enjoys college football and basketball. He also loves to travel and, of course, to spend time with his wonderful family.
