Andrew Glen Yun

Dr. Yun’s total knee replacement surgery caused me a very serious incurable progressive vascular disease called venous insufficiency. At the three week PO with his PA Jason, I told him that blood was pooling in my lower leg causing tightness pain inflammation and pressure, especially at the knee causing mobility problems. Yun knew about this and waited four months to refer me to a vascular surgeon. I had no vascular issues before the surgery. Yun was lying and covering himself, sweeping my case under the rug and cutting me loose. Jason knew there was a problem but Yun didn’t take action, wasn’t proactive. Because of his greed, he moved on to other new patients so he could get paid for other surgeries. He should be ashamed of himself. Yun ruined my life with his botched surgery. At the initial appointment, he never showed me the X-ray images of both knees which showed that I had very mild early stages arthritis and had plenty of Cartilage remaining in both knees and didn’t need surgery.… I had to find this out by getting a second opinion from other doctors. Yun should have recommended that I explore other conservative options before deciding on surgery. But because of his greed, he didn’t. He also did an MUA and promised 30 more degrees ROM. It failed and made matters worse, exacerbating my vascular disease. I’m still stuck at 83 ROM. Ten months now after the surgery I can still hardly bend my knee due to stiffness from layers of scar tissue and chronic pain. Before I received this letter, I already switched doctors because I don’t trust Yun. Again, he lied and covered himself right after surgery. At my last appointment, his assistant took no clinical notes to record for MyChart account to protect himself from a negative report. I’m only 66 and had my whole life ahead of me and he ruined my life. Before the surgery, I was able to walk, walk stairs hike, and go out and enjoy events with a decent quality of life. Its sad that he never took accountability for what he did to me. Now, I spend most of my days elevating my leg in a recliner. If Yun had any honesty or integrity, or decency, he would refund to me what my insurance paid him. I now suffer from PTSD thanks to Yun and his botched surgery. You made a decision to protect him and enable him to avoid having to deal with any consequences. The right thing to do would be to investigate this case instead of sweeping me under the rug.

All the associates - from front office, to care providers, to Dr. Yun - are all very engaged, not perfunctory. Very professional. Thank you.

Not great bedside manner but great surgeon

Dr Yun is knowledgeable, top notch surgeon, respectful, but rarely has time for questions; mostly because he likely has covered the answers, and doesn't want to have to repeat them. I have a very high opinion of him nevertheless
