Excellent doctor, revered by the families of both my father and my father-in-law. Dr. Z treated both men's lymphomas. When my father's CLL failed to respond to chemo, Dr. Z suggested immunotherapy that turned out to be much more effective. Dr. Z spends so much time with his patients and their family helpers, answering whatever Dr. Google-inspired questions we can throw at him, that his schedule always runs late. So bring some reading to the waiting room.

His professionalism and warm heart is the combination that is hard to match.

Waited 31/2 hours in the clinic before Dr Zelenetz spent less than 10 minutes with me. Extremely poor bed side manners, claimed other oncologists at major medical instiyutions guilty of medical malpractice if prescribed a drug for CLL. This drug approved by some of the most prestigious hospitals in the country as sole treatment for CLL. Had to go back 3x for venipunctures because wrong procedures done by his lab personnel. Absolutely no follow up by Zelenetz after lab studies completed. A bitter experience and intend to write about this in a national publication to warn other future patients. Will avoid using Zelenetz's name but I can assure you it will be a scathing review of disappointment and sub standard conduct at Sloan Kettering from ny experience. I am very disappointed and upset with Dr. Zelenetz and his staff.

He is THE best and I believe prolonged my hisband's life with his expertise decision making medical advice. He also has his patient 's health foremost up front rather than his own personal gain at MSKCC. Example : he referred my husband to The Fred Hutchinson Can Ctr in Seattle for a second stem cell transplant rather than have him stay at MSKCC because The Hutch, at the time in 2005, had a better transplant pgm. This exemplifies his caring for one's patient and there are very few doctors who would refer outside their own institutions.

Dr. Z is on the cutting edge of cancer treatment and research. Everything he does is for a reason, and he explains everything in detail and lets the patient become involved in all decisions. Last, but not least, DR Z CURED ME OF AN INCUREABLE CANCER , THE MAN BROUGHT ME BACK FROM THE DEAD, AND GAVE ME LIFE ! THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME !

Dr Zelenetz doesn't spend much time and doesn't explane.I found it always the other doctor problem but other doctor wunder why Dr Zelenetz hasn't look more in to find answers left it to other DRS to do!The other Drs question why hasn't Zelenetz look more because it Dr Zelenetz aera.The other Dr are at same hospital

I moved cross country for 9 months for treatment for Mantle cell Lymphoma. I was there for a second opinion but Dr Zelentz rebiopsied me because he had never seen a different combination of folliculat and MCL in one biopsy and challenged their finding. Sure enough, wrong diagnosis.He treated me for nine months ending in Auto Stem Cell Transplant and I stayed in NYC for this because of his compassion, integrity, and brilliance, and his caring about each patient.I owe him my life!

There is no other Doctor I would consider for treatment of non-hodgkins lymphoma. Dr. Zelenetz is tops in his field, well published and treats his patients with the utmost respect for their privacy. He is readily available to answer any questions or concerns we have and helped us through a very difficult time. He saved my husband's life!
