Dr. Andrew F Zigman, MD

Dr. Zigman was excellent, knowledgable, courteous, and always made us feel like our son was his only patient. He answered all of our questions and had excellent bedside manner. I am so thankful that he was our son's surgeon.

Almost 10 years after having thoracic surgery as a 15 year old at the hands of Dr. Zigman (and others, I'm sorry I didn't meet all of you), I still remember him being a positive part of my experience both before and after. What I had was fairly unusual, but he helped me to understand what I was going through both before and after, and I appreciated his presence. I can't fully understand a parent's perspective in a situation like this, but as a young patient going through a fairly traumatic procedure I can say that Dr. Zigman was always one of the faces I was happy to see, He was funny when it was appropriate, serious when it was important, and I know he was crucial in getting the job done before, during, and after the procedure. Thanks doc, keep it up.

When my daughter was five she could have died. Dr. Zigman performed a surgery to remove a cyst in her bile duct, and her gal bladder. Then years later, at age 11, she started to have problems again with stones in her pancreas. Dr. Zigman performed another surgery to help, if not fix, this complication. So far so good. She has been pain free for over a year. With many visits to see Dr. Zigman, both in the office and hospital, we have been very please. He is kind, explained everything even when I felt I was asking simple questions, drew diagrams, and most important of all, made my daughter feel comfortable and safe. I am thankful to have him as our surgeon and would, and will go back to him if we need other surgery of this kind for our daughter.

Horrible bedside manor with parents. Has no patience for parents questions-cuts people off, demeaning attitude. Fine with the kids but part of doctoring kids is communicating with parents and he has no skill in that area.
