Dr. Andrew Walter Zimmerman, MD

Dr. Zimmerman has been seeing my 20-month-old daughter for global developmental delays. He is the kindest doctor I’ve ever met and it’s very evident that he loves helping children ... and he has the utmost empathy for the parents. He answers all of my questions while simultaneously entertaining my daughter. At our last two visits, he could see my concern, and he assured me that I was doing a wonderful job as a parent. He is just amazing! I highly, highly recommend him!

I cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Zimmerman. He is patient, kind and caring. He always returns calls. I trust him implicitly.

He is kind, patient, intelligent, and best of all in a doctor, flexible. He’s willing to try things outside the box if there’s evidence to back it up. He assesses each patient as opposed to assigning a diagnosis and standard treatment to all that walk through his door. Yes, he’s ancient but don’t let that fool you. He’s smart as a whip! He’s quiet so you think he didn’t hear you or wasn’t listening but then rattles off everything you’ve said in the last 30 minutes you were there and asks relevant questions to make a diagnosis. He’s involved in clinical trials and isn’t afraid to try a new approach. Rare in an old timer and rarer still in an old timer doc! We wish we could have him for ALL of our son’s issues.

Dr. Zimmerman was our daughter's doctor at Kennedy- Krieger years ago. He is the best. Trying to get an appointment with him now she is older. Need his expertise n the broccoli sprout extract.

Dr. Z has done an excellent job of managing my son's care (my son has Asperger's). I especially want to mention that his conservative approach with medication has been a boon to my son's functioning and overall health.

Dr. Zimmerman is the best pediatric neurologist there is. He followed my daughter after she was born & diagnosed her rare condition & gave appropriate treatments at a time when nothing much was known on the treatment. He's a pioneer in the field of neurology associated with developmentally delayed children with the oeverall best bedside manner ever.
