Dr. Andrzej Janusz Przyszlak, MD

My mother was under his care while at Wheeling Hospital. He treated her condition lightly as if she was making things up. She pleaded with him to stay one more night. He scolded her telling her she was sitting in the hospital for too long and needed to go home and get on with her normal routine. She died 2 weeks later. That's the very long story short. Zero respect for this man as a doctor and a human being.

I was in Wheeling Hospital for a total hip replacement. Apparently, this doctor was “on call” Or assigned to me as my GP. I never saw him before being in the hospital (my GP is James Comerci) and I never saw him while I was in the hospital. My hemaglobin was 8.5 before I was discharged and nothing was done about it. I’m now 3+ weeks out from surgery. I’m so weak I have trouble doing what I should do as far as rehab. My face is very pale and I can’t get warm. I feel awful. All I can say is, I hope my insurance didn’t pay this doctor anything because he didn’t DO anything.

I was in the hospital for 3 days and 2 nights under observation for a suspected heart attack. (Luckily, it wasn't one). I saw this guy for all of 5 minutes on my last day, 3 of which he complained about his mask bothering his sinuses. He seemed like he was annoyed that I would ask any questions, including on how to keep myself from fainting again. I'll be very interested to see what my bill turns out to be. In fact, in my whole stay here, I saw doctors twice; once in the ER and once with this guy at the end. THis person never once examined me at all, just came in to read me some paperwork. He had the bedside manner of sawdust.

This hospitalist was assigned to me for my care at Wheeling Hospital. I never saw him or spoke with him. Upon request to see him, he sent his assistant to me. I’m not sure how a doctor who works at the hospital and is assigned to a patient cannot find the time to address concerns for an entire 10 days.
