Dr. Andy Chol Kim

My 79-year old mother has been a patient of Dr. Kim for over a year now. She saw him last week for a tooth that he said will have to be removed. He scheduled the procedure for two weeks later. Meanwhile, Mom went to see an Ear Nose and Throat board-certified specialist on an unrelated matter. After he looked at her xrays, he immediately went to the phone and called Dr. Kim and told him he needed to see her again right away because that tooth was abscessed. When Mom returned to Dr. Kim, he still would not acknowledge that the xray showed an abscess. He said she should see an oral surgeon for a second opinion! Mom has a permanently compromised immune system and it could have been life-threatening if Dr. Kim had removed that tooth without first administering antibiotics to clear up the abscess.
