Dr. Andy J Malcolm

I was referred to Dr. Malcolm because of my child's anxiety with doctors. It has been a positive experience and my little one loves to go to the dentist now (probably has something to do with the toys and good checkup pin-ups on the wall). Dr. Malcolm has been very accommodating, and he and his staff put kids at ease. I see that others have experienced yelling and bad behavior, but I haven't observed anything remotely resembling those events.

From the first apt to after my sons surgery Dr. Malcom was amazing. He truly care about his patients and their well being! He made the suggestion to have my sons dental work all done at once so it would not be so traumatizing for him and that was the best decision we made! He is an awesome Dentist and very personable.

My daughter cried and was terrified. After the work was done I gave her a hug and said "you did good". He replied " She did not do good. You need to get your child under control." I explained this was a traumatic experience for her and the guy had absolutely no clue. It was insane! I told him what I thought of him and left but not before hearing him scream across the office" Pay Your Bill!" Mind you my daughter was crying still from the whole experience. If you love your child, don't just don't. Take her to a dentist that has patience with kids and compassion.

My 5 year old daughter went in to have some cavities filled. After the shots she was crying and scared, obviously. He proceeded to yell at her in a very condescending tone. I'm appalled that a pediatric dentist would treat a child this way. I will never take my kids there again. Parents please do not allow anyone to speak to your child in that way, especially when they are already scared and unsure.

My son is a patient here and we have had nothing but positive experiences. He is patient, takes his time, invites openness. Very happy with him.

Dr. Malcolm is an excellent dentist. My son was very difficult and was told by our last dentist not to come back unless we agreed to have him sedated in the hospital. Dr. Malcolm worked with my son to ease the things he hated about the dentist. Now my son has no problems going. He also helped my other child stop sucking his thumb. All my kids like Dr. Malcolm he is awesome!!!

I am compelled to share my review of Dr. Malcolm. Sadly, very often today, the only people who take the time to write reviews are those individuals who either have a grudge or are too cowardly or ignorant to address their concerns face-to-face. Very seldom do the many happy patients make the effort to share their positive experiences. Consequently, I feel compelled to share my positive experiences with Dr. Malcolm and his staff in Belvidere. We have visited his offices on many occasions over the years. Dr. Malcolm and his staff are always the epitome of professionalism and care. And parents are ALWAYS welcome to go back with their children! Words cannot express how delighted my family has been with the treatments we have received. Dr. Malcolm is young, passionate and thorough. He and his staff are totally dedicated to helping young people - many of whom they do free of charge if there is a genuine need. Dr. Malcolm has deservingly been the recipient of many awards for… community service and professionalism. If you are looking for a pediatric dentist, I urge you to visit Dr. Malcolm.

Are you kidding me this guy is in Pediatic care. People, yes all you moms and dads out there there is a reason Dr. Malcolm does not want you in the room with your little one. First off he talks down to them, makes them feel stupid and does not have one ounce of compassion for this little boy/girl in the chair for their 1st, 2nd or 3rd time. My kid told me everything he said. I hope I helped your decision making and hope your kid doesn't go through a harder experience with a cocky, arrogant, rude dentist.

Being in the professional field you never Yell at a kid, tell them they where bad, strap them down and take all their teeth out then ask what's wrong with them????? Traumatized Maybe!

I recently visited Dr. Malcolm and I feel compelled to share my opinions with anyone who may be seeking a pediatric dentist. Dr. Malcolm gives me confidence: The confidence that I am a good parent and the confidence that I have chosen a very professional young doctor. Dr. Malcolm always tries to understand what I am feeling â?? both physically and emotionally. The doctor and his staff truly communicate and interact with us. He truly cares about us. He remembers us. We are more than just patients to him. Dr. Malcolm is forthright, professional and thorough, He listens to his patients and considers their input.. He will give you an honest opinion. Dr. Malcolm is compassionate. In fact, his office accepts many patients that other doctors have referred to him because the child is too unruly or problematic, has special needs or is simply beyond their level of expertise. What more can I say? If you are seeking the very best in pediatric dentistry, I highly recommend… Dr. Malcolm.
