Dr. Andy Ngoc Truong, MD

Dr. Ruggio completed medical school at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York where he graduated AOA. He continued on with internship and residency as well as a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Ruggio continued with his additional training at a number of outstanding institutions in the United States.

Dr. Ruggio is Board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Interventional Cardiology and continues to actively contribute to research efforts in the field of cardiovascular medicine, particularly invasive/interventional cardiology.

He has been a pioneer in the development and implementation of high-quality, cost-effective, cardiovascular service delivery systems in various managed care settings. He is the Founder and President/CEO of Pacific Cardiovascular Associates Medical Group, Inc. (PCA) based in Southern California. Having successfully managed over 1.7 million lives over the past 15 years, PCA continues …to innovate in the area of cardiovascular guidelines, best practices and information systems. Dr. Ruggio has developed mathematical models, which permit accurate predication of resource consumption and allocation, which optimize quality and cost of care. His optimization paradigms have been successfully implemented in full risk capitation contracts for large populations of commercial and senior patients.

Dr. Ruggio has received numerous distinctions and accolades from both academic and managed care communities. First and foremost he is a busy practicing invasive/interventional cardiologist. He serves as President and CEO of Pacific Cardiovascular Associates Medical Group, Inc.
