Caring and Compassionate, knowledgeable and skilled, professional and personable. Excellent communication between MD and patient. Takes time to explain everything! She is truly an amazing physician!!!

Dr Chagpar explained in plain English the type of cancer I had and what were my options and treatments. I felt at ease and guided by a competent and confident doctor.

Chagpaar withholds information from patients about potential side effects and risk factors. Does not afford patients the respect informed consent.

Dr.Chagpar is without a doubt the best.She sat with me to explain all I had to know. She knew "cancer" and I had "cancer". She was amazing.She had compassion for not only me but my family as well. At my followup visit she informed me that she got all the cancer.It was in the bucket. At that time she let me look in the mirror, it was'nt the scar across my chest that I saw, it was my battle scar, what I saw was that the cancer was gone.She gave me a new lease on life.

She acted very childlike during my appointment and this made me question her opinions.

From the first time I met Dr Chagpar until my last follow up appt, & thru all my in between questions & concerns, I was amazed at the care & concern of Dr C. She always had a smile & time to listen to me & my concerns. She made me feel as if I was truly important to her. She eased all my fears, & helped me get thru my surgery,& gave me all the information I needed to make difficult decisions. I had a double mastectomy due to breast cancer. It has been 3 mos, I am doing great. I just can't say enough about how wonderful she was to me. Also the brown cancer society & all the unbelievable people there. I just can't imagine any other dr or place to get any better treatment!!!!

Personally, I liked her "lecture" approach in explaining my diagnosis and different surgical possibilities. I learned a lot! It reassuring to me that she would get rid of the cancer by throwing it in a bucket!When I had a couple of detours during my treament, I found Dr. Chagpar kind and understanding. She never took undue risks with my health and was always willing to help in any way possible. Plus, she is great surgeon. Not one complication for two curgeries and very minimal scarring for such a large incision!

Dr. Chagpar is bright & articulate, however, her approach is more in line with lecturing to students as opposed to having a conversation with a patient. She doesn't tolerate interruptions. Several times she told me to hush, she'd "get to that". She's a bit callous in describing mastectomy procedures--"skin sparing mastectomy--we scoop out the breast & you're left with an empty bag of skin". "All I do all day long is take out cancer & throw it in a bucket" I was quite horrified with some of her phraseology. She was, after all, talking about amputating my body parts.There was a 2 hour wait to see her, but she did spend 1 1/2 hours with me.Oh & she will never call with lab or scan results. You have to go in, pay a co-pay & have your insurance company billed, just to get that information. The piece de resistance, she has priveleges at Norton Hospital, where the surgical oncologists as a group have a 1 out of 4 star rating.Personally, I'll be moving on to a different doctor.
