Dr. Aneta Alicia Schuenemeyer, MD

Excellent Psychiatrist, she is very thorough and very detailed. This is not the type of Doctor who just sits and listens, she does listen, but she asks all the right questions and helps you with your issues, your medicine, all your needs. She also has other specialists in her office to help you as well. I would say she is a top Psychiatrist in her field and does an excellent job. She is easy to find. She works Monday -Thursday 8:00 - 4:30. I hope if you are seeking help you will call her, you will not be disappointed.

I really, really like Dr. Schuenemeyer. Enough to get on here and write a positive review. I have seen plenty of different doctors in my life as well as worked with them (as a nurse) and have never felt the need to write something good about a doctor before. I really feel like she listens whole-heartedly and cares genuinely about my well-being. She is very smart and easy to talk to. Very non-judgmental. Her staff and office policies are not so great. Office manager, as someone else has already mentioned, seems very cold and not very friendly. I have to agree that it DOES seem like this is a very money-driven practice. They really are quick to charge you for anything they can. Missed appointments-- even though I was hospitalized when I had to cancel my apt, I was still charged. They simply don't care. It's quite sad. I read other reviews where people mention that they were discharged from her practice without warning- this concerns me as well. That's how this office is run- it's very… strict and impersonal- so I guess I shouldn't be surprised if one day I receive a letter telling me to "take a hike"... That concerns me. But I DO like Aneta- she's a good physician for sure. I just wish the office staff was a little more flexible and a little warmer...

After being a patient for a year and half Dr. S. released me from care with a letter sent to my home. I was a cash patient because I didn't have insurance and missed an appt. because I couldn't afford the office visit fee. That was her excuse for no longer being able to see me. But I felt the real reason was after a year of treatment I went on short term disability due to my chronic depression and the doctor told me that she would no longer be filling out this type of paperwork because it was too time consuming for her. Now I am without doctor care and no income because she would not fill out a very short questionnaire for my insurance...even though I paid her extra everytime she filled out forms for me. All the office cares about is stuffing in as many patients they can in a day and the doctor does not spend very much time discussing your progress with you. On top of everything the office manager has no customer service skills and no sympathy. Given the type of patients seen in… this office you would think this would be a requirement, but apparently they dont care. All of this stress has just made my condition worse and I would not recommended anybody seeing this doctor when there are many more to choose from.

Excellent, Caring, Psychiatrist, very thorough and detailed. Actually listens to what you are saying. Finally got my daughter on the right medications, and lessened the number of meds she was on from previous Psych's. Unfortunately she is not renewing her contract with our insurance, and we have had to find yet another Dr. in our journey. Yes she runs a strict office, but only because cancellations, no shows have obviously been a problem in the past. I would highly recommend her to any parent!

Aneta runs this office from purely a business sense. From filling out a 30 page electronic contract to being charge for missed appointments even if you called in, this office is out for your money. And if it is your word against theirs on whether you called and cancelled your appt, she will still turn you in to a collection agency for the $50 nonshow fee. She also is alway late and the staff is horrible...it rolls down hill from Aneta to her staff. If you arent' depressed prior to going there, you will be. Find someone else as a doctor. Aneta doesn't take most insurance and is quick to bill you for everything.

I greatly appreciate Dr. Schuenemeyer's help through the years. She has worked with me through some tough times, and her excellent advice and treatment is much appreciated.

I saw Dr. Schunemeyer only 3 times for less than 15 minutes each time. She recommended a medicaton and I followed her advice. After several months of seeing her, I called the office and scheduled an appointment for the next week and later that day, I realized that I was out of medication. I called my pharmacy and was told to pick it up that evening. I went to pick it up and the pharmacy said that the office "refused to refill the prescription." The next day, I called and the office staff stated that Dr. Schunemeyer would not refill the prescription, but also that I could no longer be a patient." I asked why and she said that "I did not follow the doctor's advice and therefore, could no longer be seen."I explained that I had an appointment for the next week that was already scheduled and did not understand why I was being dismissed from the practice. I was given no further explanation.I did receive a form letter from Dr. Schunemeyer stating the same, that she would no longer see… me and that I could call the state for a referral. Dr. Schunemeyer never spoke to me directly, never followed through and completely refused to see or speak to me. Her actions are certainly below the standard of care. I spoke to other doctors who believe that this constitutes malpractice. It is for these reasons that I would NOT recommend this doctor to anyone.

I have been going to Dr Schuenemeyer for about two years now. She is always very attentive. Actually tries different options for ones issues and is never hurried. Wish this system had a 5 star rating which is the standard. 4 stars just seems like she's one star short.
