Angela Adams is a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. With more than 30 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in psychiatry, medicine, education, and administration, she is committed to providing individualized, compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals facing mental health concerns. Her clinical approach is collaborative and patient-centered, with a focus on supporting those managing conditions such as:

As Clinical Director of Psychiatry at Duke Regional Hospital, Angela led a team-oriented practice environment that brought together psychiatrists, clinicians, and support staff to ensure patients received comprehensive care and appropriate follow-up. Her dedication to advancing psychiatric care was recognized with the 2011 Friends of Nursing Award for Excellence from the Duke Regional Hospital …physician group. Throughout her career, she has remained focused on improving the quality of care for patients with complex behavioral health needs through strong clinical leadership and teamwork.

Angela Adams also holds a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Leadership and Management, and she is a transformational leader committed to helping others reach their full potential. She creates a supportive, empathetic environment that fosters trust, healing, and hope for both clients and families. By building strong therapeutic relationships, she empowers individuals to move toward greater well-being and lasting positive change.
