Dr. Angela M Dimango, MD

Dr. DiMango is an excellent and caring physician. I saw her in September of this year and she is not only a superb pulmonary doctor, but often helps me with any other issues I have. In addition, she sees me for who I am as a person rather than simply a patient, and she makes me feel really comfortable in her office. She always gets back to me about my concerns or issues, and goes beyond her line of duty. She is truly a beacon of light at Columbia Presbyterian and I appreciate her dedication to her field of medicine.

What a total disorganized office and Physician. They do not get back to you. Did a lung function test and NEVER, and I mean never, heard a thing from Dr. Angela Dimango. Went in for an office visit and sat in her office while she sat next door talking bunt cake recipes or something of the sort. I've lost all confidence in her.

This doctor has been one of the best physicians I have ever had the privilege of meeting. She is so compassionate, so caring, and so smart. I have been her patient for years, and I have never been disappointed by her service. She really goes above and beyond.

Dr. DiMango really knows her medicine; she is highly skilled and will go all out to make sure all her patients understand what they need to know. She will explain as best as she can how the medicines, treatments, and diagnoses to all her patients. When she does vitals, the patient forgets she is doing vitals and starts becoming very relaxed as she talks to the patients with their loved ones as a genuine person. Doctors are not just doctors, they are people to, and even though Dr. DiMango is a doctor, she shows how she embraces her vulnerability as well. By showing care and understanding, Dr. DiMango expresses the importance of how every patient and healthcare professional needs to think about medicine as not just medicine, but as a way of getting help for issues they may be having with their health. This is a sign of a good doctor because too many medical professionals I met in the past, have not been like this. Dr. DiMango's kindness is so sincere and open even with her talent and… brilliance.

I was not very impressed by the attention I was given. It is expected. These people see many patients and the first thing they worry about is what kind of insurance do you have? You will never hear them say how are you doing? as their first question. It is all about money. Columbia Presbyterian is just a name. You are delusional if you think doctors today will care about you. That is seen only in the movies.

Knowledgable, personable, very direct and open to talk and listen.

Medicine, like law, is a business. When people in college apply for medical school or nursing for that matter one of the questions they are asked on the application is why do they want to get into the health care field they all lie. They all say because they want to help their fellow man. What a joke. The " doctors " at Columbia Presbyterian from my experience " hide " behind the name of the institution. You can get better care from a real " doctor " who might show more compassion towards the sick than these people. When the time comes as in an emergency these people do not respond unless you are someone with a high status such as the president. These " doctors " who claim they went into the field to help their fellow man will not give a crap about you. I have found many of them to be insensitive. Their staff are a bunch of arrogant and nosy hypocrites. If their receptionist is acting callous these doctors hardly pay any attention. In short, the more people they " treat " the more… money they make. That is the name of their game. Medicine is not like it used to. Certainly these jokers do not represent it. I have seen some of them curse their patients and even make nasty comments about the people they " treat ". Go somewhere else for treatment. Don't expect that these will be with you all the way supporting you with your medical problems or that they will tell you everything you need to know. As for their " diagnoses " they either don't know or they do not want to tell you.

Dr. DiMango was so patient and spend lots of time with me explaining my test results. I never felt rushed. She is an excellent diagnostician. Dr. DiMango is very down to earth and answers every question with complete patience!. Is is truly a fine physician. Liz, her receptionist is lovely as well.
