Dr. Angela Marie Langlinais, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Angela for 3 years. She found issues that my big city Dr. in Pennsylvania overlooked. She is like having the best friend, sister, country Dr. all rolled up into one. Just love her!!

At first I thought she was great. She has a good bedside manner and seems to care. Initially she seemed sympathetic, offering things to help with my pain - but I wanted MORE; I wanted an answer to WHY I kept hurting and having the same issues. But after some time when it became apparent that I wasn't going to stop asking her to help me discover the root of the problems, it became clear that she really did not have the patience to find out what was wrong with me (or really listen to me). She finally ordered a test (reluctantly) after I repeatedly requested it, telling her that I was still suffering and nothing was getting better, only to find out that she ordered the scan for only one part of my body - and NOT even the area that I told her was the problem. Sound arrogant of me? The lumbar scan she ordered showed no problems and she pretty much disregarded my complaints from there on out. Well, a couple of years later, when I finally got someone else to listen to me, lo and behold,… the upper thoracic, cervical, and head scans showed NUMEROUS lesions and an answer to all my years of pain and suffering which might have been diagnosed (and treated) sooner IF she had listened to me instead of making me feel like I was a whiny drug-seeker. Everyone can make mistakes, but the way she switched from kind & concerned to disinterested and almost dismissive was unsettling. I will say that for other issues (colds, sinus infections, etc.) she did a good job. I guess that in this day and age, with all the substance abuse and patient-instigated lawsuits, doctors are wary of people that might seem problematic. But I just don't think I deserved to get the cold shoulder because I wanted ANSWERS, not just a couple of courses of muscle relaxers and pain killers, but REASONS why so I could try to FIX things. It might not have worked, to have started disease modifying drugs a couple of years sooner if she'd actually helped me find my diagnosis, but it might have made all the difference; I'll never know.

Physician and staff have no regard for privacy concerning patient medical info. If you don't want the whole town knowing your personal info, see another doctor.
