Dr. Angela Harper Mahome, MD

Dr. Mahome has been my son's psychiatrist for over 3 years and it was a long search for finally find a doctor who goes above and beyond in providing her impeccable care. Dr. Mahome takes the time to listen to him from the moment we are in her office until the time we leave. She takes my observations into consideration when forming a treatment plan and discusses her thoughts, rationale and proposed plan with both my son and me and is always open to our thoughts. We are a team and that is huge for me. I am a nurse of over 20 years and I require a collaborative relationship with my healthcare providers, especially with my son's psychiatric care. Dr. Mahome has been a life vest during some rocky times; I've been able to laugh, cry and everything in between in her office and she never fails to deliver the best care possible. And Sherice, her office manager, well she is a class act who has only demonstrated kindness, professionalism and sensitivity during all of our interactions and… makes me feel like we genuinely are a valued part of Dr. Mahome's patient population. Thank you!!

Dr. Mahome was very thorough in her explaining my diagnoses and medications, and was able to talk about the changes and possible side effects with me. I felt very comfortable and welcomed versus previous psychiatrists I have seen, who gave me prescriptions and let me go. She takes the time to ask me questions and types everything I say so she can remember for next time. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Mahome was wonderful! She took the time to truly ask the right questions and get a clear picture of my son before diagnosing him. The staff was professional and caring and I am pleased with the direction we are going. She has given our family hope!

Dr. Mahome has seen my daughter on a at 3 office visits. She was very professional as well as personable. She asked a lot of questions and took notes. She also, listened to my daughter as well as my husband and myself. She was great at explaining her diagnosis and treatment options. Our visits range from 30 to 45 minutes.

Dr. types into her computer every minute I was in the room. It was a follow up visit. She never said a word to me but wrote prescriptions and sent me on my way. I had discussed issues and was very visibly upset but she dismissed me saying my problem was "situational" so she ignored and dismissed me. She lacks professionalism and charged me $180 for a ten minute visit. Her office secretary is also unable to understand basic healthcare forms. Very rude. Patients do not deserve such poor care. I refuse to let her receive any more of my insurance payments. It was the worst visit I have ever had in 64 years and worse mannerism of any physician in 40 years in the healthcare field.
