Angela Overturf, FNP-C

Angela Overturf is a nurse practitioner with a particular interest in wound care. Growing up in Cochise County, Overturf always wanted to give back to her community, and, for her, becoming a nurse was the perfect opportunity.

She began her journey as a nurse at Cochise College with her most recent academic work at the University of Texas, where she received her post-master’s emergency/trauma nurse practitioner certificate.

For Overturf, the constantly changing landscape of medicine is what she loves about being a nurse practitioner. “I love the challenge of staying up to date with a constantly evolving science. I am a student for life, and learning is life-long in medicine.”

Since 2005, Angela has worked with people of all ages in multiple settings from emergency to primary care. These experiences give her a unique perspective when providing patient-centered care in Benson.

A large part of Overturf’s approach to health care is through prevention. Her advice - “value preventive health …and take care of your bodies. If I had a dime for every time I heard ‘don’t get old,’ I’d be a millionaire.”
