"Best. Dentist. On the planet! In my 66 years I've moved a lot, and seen a LOT of dentists. I thought a certain level of pain and discomfort was just part of the process. I can handle a high level of pain, and usually just put up with it, but I don't like it. Dr. Tenholder is truly painless. She numbs the surface of the area the needle will go into, and then tugs your lip with one hand while smoothly inserting the needle with the other. (Imagine the skill it takes to do that!?) THAT is the single most important skill. Everything else is secondary! I told her I don't want anyone but her to ever put a needle in my mouth. I went in one time, ready for prep-work to go to a dental surgeon, and Dr Angie said, "Huh. Looks like it got better. We can hold off on this and see if it stays better." (It is like a surgeon getting ready to cut, and saying, "Well, looks like we don't need this procedure"!!) Her support staff is amazingly competent. Her procedures and science are world-class. (Truly!… She is the head of a major dental science organization.) She explains things in great detail, and then if I still have trouble understanding, she says, "Well that tooth is jealous and wants to be like the ones beside him." Oh! Okay, I can understand that! Best. Dentist. On the planet! "
