"Don't have time to call patience" with results

I had the misfortune of meeting Dr. VanLandingham during my grandmothers stay on PCU at a local hospital. My grandmother was a patient of one of her associates and she was rounding at the hospital. I was already put on notice by my family members that she was very nasty and rude to my grandmother the day before. The next day, she returned with a very poor attitude. Attempted to talk down to my grandmother and aunt whom were asking about my grandmother’s diagnosis and prognosis. They were unaware due to conflicting information from providers at the hospital and lack of information from anyone at VCI. I will say that I did appreciate her finally telling us what the CT scans showed and my grandmothers prognosis, but other than that she was extremely nasty. When confronted about her poor bedside manner she stated “I can always leave,” at which point all meaningful communication was stopped. I notified hospital staff that she was no longer to communicate with my grandmother and we are… currently looking for another oncologist. It would do this physician a world of good to remember that it could just as easily be her loved one lying in that bed.

Dr. Angela R Vanlandingham. was great when she was my Oncologist. Really wish she could have stayed in Newport News.
