Dr. Angela K Webb, MD

This is from an older experience with Dr Webb, and reading the most recent review made me write this. She was my first PCP in Lexington, and came highly recommended. I was a 27 year old MD and on my first visit, everything was good, and Dr Webb was lovely and I was happy. However, in less than a year, when my health deteriorated, I was very concerned, and wanted to be first seen by my PCP. But she had no time for me! She was booked out months, but did not care to add me somewhere to her schedule. When I called her office, she told them to tell me that "ER's are there for a reason"! Of course, I changed my PCP, who still is at UK, and is wonderful and responsive. Being a physician myself, I have added on several of my established patients to my schedule and continue to do so, because they are my patients and I am not even a primary care physician, I am a specialist. But Dr Webb does not have that concern or attitude, for her, patients are just a number, when things are good, everything… is hunky-dory, and when their health deteriorates or there is a concern, they must go to the ER, because she likely is happy with renewing hypertension/ diabates meds and prescribe antibiotics for UTI/ sinusitis! Dr Webb makes you believe in "all that glitters is not gold"! Please find yourself another PCP, who will stand by you in good health and illness...

Dr. Webb and Dr. Rose haven't made time to see a 76 yr old patient of many years who has always been in above average health and has now declined rapidly with extreme pain and gall bladder discomfort. After trying to get a follow-up appointment for the last 4 weeks the appointment is still scheduled for another week out. That is unacceptable for a long-standing patient with a marked shift in health. It's possible that the condition is very serious and if not, it's possible that Dr. Webb could have provided relief. I realize that this is a function of a broken system, not just Dr. Webb; nevertheless, an elderly patient in such bad condition should be prioritized. No excuse!

She is one of the good one's! She listens, answers questions, is VERY bright, warm & caring, and, she makes you feel better-even before you take any medicine!
