Dr. Angelica Ramirez, MD

In all the years that I have been seen by Dr. Ramirez, she has always taken as much time as I needed and made sure to thoroughly explain everything to me. She always responds to my messages and is truly an excellent care provider. She never tries to push an agenda but instead lays everything out on the table for me to ultimately decide.

This is a much long over due review . I do not recommend this doctor . She is afraid to do her job. She blamed it on our current government and that her hands are tied with certain things . I feel she needs to go back to school as anytime you ask her a question it’s I’m not sure go see this specialist. Her entire office staff walked out on her that should of been my clue to look for a new doctor. I was keeping the faith that the other reviews I have read about her were just a few unhappy patients but then it happened to me . My care by her has been anything but great. It’s hard to get much info about what you have going on with you. If I went to her for a upper respiratory she won’t order antibiotics where I found myself going to urgent care or another doctor to get my needs met. So she sends you to specialist you come back with what they tell you and what meds they want you on and she is always in disagreement with it . Why send you to a specialist if you won’t follow their… recommendations. It’s a shame as she is young and was hopeful I would have this doctor a long time . But e writhing happens for a reason and this is the right time to share my thoughts on her . I say don’t be fooled by your first few visits as she does come across as a caring doctor but you will soon find out that she is overwhelmed by her job and that she really has no idea what she is doing as a doctor. If you are a well person then you might not notice anything if you see her once a year but just wait to that time comes when you need her to really be there for you . I suggest you look for another doctor .

She is one of the kindest , caring doctors I have ever met. She is smart and is open to listening to what you have to say.

The doctor spends as long as necessary with her patients. She listens, is compassionate and knowledgable.

At first I was pleased with this doctor then with no reason or explanation I was notified that I was being dismissed from her care.

Dr. Ramirez is a passionate and very caring person. She spends lot of time explaining my lab results and follows up go to her. Her staff treats you like a family member . I am so grateful to find this wonderful person.

Excellent physician who spends a fantastic amount of time with her patients. She is extremely thorough and has the best bedside manner, and the best staff of any physician I have visited in the Boca Raton area in years.

I have been holding off on writing this review because initially, Dr. Ramirez was great. Yes, be prepared to wait for a VERY long time. There is even a sign indicating just as much. But honestly, in the beginning, I didn't mind because I thought the care out-weighed the huge inconvenience. But my most recent experiences have been awful. I was very ill a couple months ago, so of course I went to see her. Initially, diagnostic tests were run, but nothing was found. Eventually, I was instructed to go to the ER and was told that I needed to do this as there would be more tests and diagnostic tools that could be utilized. I inquired why the ER, as my situation was not emergent, although I continued to feel very ill. Upon her instructions, I went to the ER where she is privileged, and was received with very puzzled looks. The two doctors I saw there did not understand why my primary would instruct me to go to the ER when my situation could not be addressed by the emergency/trauma… department. They referred me back to the primary. Essentially, I received poor instructions. I consulted two other primaries for second-opinions, and both told me that my original instructions were completely the incorrect protocol. This was and is very concerning. That is four medical professionals completely disagreeing with my primary's directions. Today was the final kicker. My other specialist informed me that she was attempting to gather my medical records from my primary, who told her that I was no longer a patient. I have no idea at what point I was discharged. It blows my mind how a patient could be discharged without being informed. It is quite unfortunate. Dr. Ramirez is a very nice person, but she really dropped the ball here. This, coupled with their disorganization (their EMR has always been down when I've been in the office, adding much more time to your visit), long waits, makes me really question their practice. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, but ultimately, what really matters is the patient's care. I would highly recommended another physician.
