Dr. Angelo Vincent Pace

He was arrested for selling drugs in West Palm Beach. It was all over the newspapers. How on earth can he still practice medicine? He doesn’t have a nice personality. When I asked him to look at my mother’s swollen left leg, he brushed it off as nothing. Fortunately, she had an appointment with another doctor the following day. The doctor immediately noticed the swollen leg without me calling it to his attention. Without hesitation, he began on that same day to infuse medication in her vein to reduce the lymphoma that was blocking the fluid and causing the leg to swell. Angelo Pace would make comments to me “What do you think you are, a doctor.?” when I questioned his instructions about the best way to give my mother her thyroid medication. He always seem secretive. You couldn’t get him to talk about anything, Whereas other doctors were friendly, relaxed and enjoyed talking about their families. He wanted my 95 year old mother to undergo procedures that seemed dangerous, such as… injecting dye for a test. He would get annoyed if I refused. His poor elderly patients had no relatives or advocates. They were usually wheeled in by hired aides, whereas my mother’s other doctors’ patients were physicians themselves.
