Dr. Angenette Purcell Rashad, MD

This review is regarding my first - and last - visit to Oak Hill Hospital ER and my interaction with the doctor on call, Dr. Angenette Rashad. Dr. Rashad inappropriately and disrespectfully spoke to me whenever I interacted with her. An example of this would be when Dr. Rashad motioned me into an office by wagging her finger in my direction. Dr. Rashad also kept referring to me as "woman" instead of my name. When I explained my symptoms to her she proceeded to repeat her job description to me continuously and told me that the ER was for people that were in "critical condition only or for life and death emergencies". During this time Dr. Angenette Rashad also continuously referred to me as a "lay person". Dr. Rashad also did not explain her diagnosis well. After I proceeded to ask another question and explain my symptoms once more, Dr. Angenette Rashad became extremely hostile and aggressive. She removed her hands from the computer and placed them on her thighs as she rolled her… chair backwards. Looking upward at the ceiling, Dr. Rashad said very loudly "before it gets ugly in here let's stop!". This behavior is unbecoming of a hospital. Though I prefer to file an official complaint against Dr. Angenette Rashad I am writing this review instead because I fear any future backlash from the medical community. This review will stay anonymous unlike my official complaint. Since Spring Hill is a relatively small area, I fear any repercussions that a write up may bring.
