I wouldn't even give one star. I've had several epidurals during my life time with no pain. And my doctor sent me to her never again!! Go to a spine surgeon they know what they are doing. I've had 3 back surgeries with no pain. And her epidural was the worst pain I've ever had in my spine. Please don't go to her!!

I went to Dr Rakes almost over 2 years ago with the onset of debilitating migraines and this abnormal electric shock feeling I kept getting in my head. I was diagnosed with Chronic Severe Migraines and Trigeminal Neuralgia. She worked with me and placed me on meds that completely cleared me of it all. Unfortunately with any pharmaceutical there are side effects and I wanted to have a baby which was frowned upon while receiving the meds. I weened off and the headaches began again. She worked with me through the entire time. I tried everything I could under the sun and because of insurance there are steps to take to get to the next level of treatment. I was starting to come to terms with that fact I may have to live with migraines the entire time I want to have children which was a horrible feeling. There was days I had to go to the emergency room and they still could not get the headache to go away. They would send me home and let me know they did all they could, prescribe me a sedative… and knock me out and cross fingers it worked. Dr Rakes finally got my insurance to approve Botox and I have no words!!!! It was a complete life changer. My migraines have now turned back into normal headaches and I only get many 5 a month instead of over half the month with a constant migraine. My tension in my neck and shoulders are gone and my TMJ has died down. Botox has been the most life changing drug ever given to me. You receive a lot of injections within that 10 minutes however, they do not hurt and results are mind blowing. I would suggest Dr Rakes for any of your pain issues and especially your migraines. One thing to keep in mind though, you have to take steps and try certain medications due to insurance guidelines until they allow stuff like Botox however, be patient and Dr Rakes will guide you through the process.

I was having headaches nearly every day. I would spend at least three or four days a month in bed with them. I started seeing Dr. Rakes about five years ago and my headaches are so much better.. I have just a few mild headaches a month now.

I don't understand the negative reviews. I have been going to this doctor for a few years. She has been nothing but kind, and concerned. She has spent a lot of time listening to me and my concerns. She has worked over time to try and help me with my chronic pain. I have told many people about the great care I have gotten from this office.

Came out in worse shape than I went in for this shot. She is rude I wouldn't send my dog to her. Now I need to find a Dr that will really help me and fix the pain she has done. Bedside manner stinks. I would never recommend her to anyone!

no medications, for chronic pain syndromes says your regular doctor will do that. in the alegent system your regular doctor is not allowed to do that.
