Dr. Angus J Michaels, MD

I gave this gentleman a chance and I am glad I did. Was my Dr for 12 years. That is a shame people felt the experience they had was not great. Was sad to see him go but happy for his promotion.

after 25 yrs with same dr now retiring both my husband and I needed to find a new pcp. I went first. I was to say the least taken back byy his abnoxious behavior I should have read some of these reviews.his non caring arrogant attitude was sickening... he tried to put me in same boat as other patients about a certain medication... he never answered my concerns instead had blue gloves on to type on his monitor never looking at me. never saying to much I had to try see around his computer to see his exprestion. cold is to say least... I so agree with most of the reviews he shouldn't practicing. he is only concerned with insurance companys not the patient... my husband went for his first visit never made it thru WALKED RIGHT OUT AND HE IS A TOLERANT MAN.. PLEASE BE VERY AWARE OF THIS DOCTOR.

I'm 58, have had 4 primary doctors in my life. I've never been so disappointed in a doctors ability to really care. Bring them in, push them out. The "on hold" situation was amazing too, 17 minute average, 31 minute record! I pulled all the calls up and did the math. Might be a nice guy but if your sick and need timely information, go elsewhere. Or if you want tp really make him mad, ask for test results he has but refuses to tell you because he's mad at the surgeon that would not call him back. He refuses to tell me the results to a CT scan knowing I would be waiting 3 weeks to see the surgeon so he could tell me? Petty, petty man.

he is the absolute bottom of the barrel dr.!!!! i have no idea how he is still practicing!! i am going to file a complaint with the board. i am also an RN and in all my years there is only 1 other dr i have met, that lacks all components of the hippocratic oath. if you are sick, or have chronic conditions...his arrogant attitude will make you worse. i absolutely concur with the reviews below, with exception to the "nurse" who claimed everyone there was looking for narcotics!!! talk about judgmental, ignorance..no wonder she sings his praises!!! he deserves - 0 stars. -

Takes over a month just to get in to see him unless your almost dead!! And he is still accepting new patients. Not personable at all. As people have said he types on the computer and says very little.

This guy comes into the room only to ask 1 question and when u try to give an answer to the question he stops and tells u the answer....he is the bottom of the barrel, dosnt care he pons u off to other doctors when u need help half the time he has one foot out the door...then when you have questions its like speeking to a door....as he types away on computer its so sick. I would never ever recomend him....oh yeah good luck getting a doctors note...

Was the first doctor I have seen in years that wasn't trying to push a script on me. He genuinely cares about your well being. I have moved away from the area but still go to Gardner to see Dr. Michaels.

As a retired nurse I have seen it all. Men coming out to the waiting area and getting quite ugly and bitter because Dr. Michaels will not write them a script for narcotics. With electronic records these days, doctors have to type as part of their work.Well, my husband and I go to this doctor and we are quite pleased with him. We just wish these drug seekers will go somewhere else.

I waited almost 2 hours for my appointment. Only to not get any answers. Most of Dr. Michaels time is spent typing, and not even making eye contact. I have found he often says inappropriate things. Fortuantely, the office manager, makes the wait less grueling. She is the glue.
