Dr. Worthing took over my care from Dr. Borenstein. I am very pleased. I feel he will continue to take good care of me.

Best doctor I've seen in as long as I can remember. Present, informed, caring and surrounded by a superior staff. I'm ecstatic to have him as a medical provider.

The visit was for a follow up and blood test. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. The doctor was thorough and pleasant. His medical advice has been very good.

Dr. Worthing's office has something strange going on with billing. He is definitely making money off of patients outside of insurance coverage. His mannerism was very robotic as well as self centered. Such a shame because patients are really suffering with RA. It was as if he was definitely making extra money with all the fast talking of staff and array of onsite testing and x-rays. I was told that I had a balance of $170 in the waiting room and my insurance pretty much covers everything so that was very odd to me as my copay is usually no more than $35. I have never had a balance due at the front desk ever since carrying insurance for any office visit. Such a shame:( Broke my heart because the office is located in the heart of Metropolitan Washington, DC and I am sure there is high volume office visits and lots of unnecessary costs past on to innocent patients where their insurance covers.

Dr Worthing has been my rheumatologist for about 10 years now & he has always been very attentive to my needs. He has a great bedside manner & is thorough in his evaluations to ensure covering all points of concern.

The most proficient and thorough physician I've seen in decades. Made the right diagnosis, applied the right treatment(s), and I experienced dramatic improvement overnight.

I went to Dr. Worthing over the course of two years. He listened, he explained well. Overall, I liked his style. But there were three negatives and the last was insurmountable. First, though I tell every new doctor up front -- verbally, and in writing new patient information -- that my insurance company requires use of a particular lab, Dr. Worthing kept sending me 'around the corner' for blood draw. This incurred an extra $25 out of pocket expense, two or three times before I realized what they were doing -- ignoring my information, and making extra profits for the practice. He didn't try to hide annoyance when, the third time, I reminded him that my lab work should be sent to so-and-so. He told me to go to the lab myself; they don't send out for lab work. Second thing, the staff at check-out always seemed angry and was consistently unfriendly; although I saw him friendly to other patients occasionally, so maybe he had a prejudice. Third thing, on maybe the sixth visit, I… started to ask his advice about something and rather than wait for me to complete the question, the doctor cut me off mid-sentence and actually yelled at me in a very sharp tone. That was my last visit, and for these experiences I will not return to that multi-doctor practice.

I was very impressed with his ability to listen. He also respected me as an intelligent person --not "just"a patient. It was a fairly routine visit and yet he spent over 45 minutes with me.
