Dr. Anibal Joseph Loza, MD

It takes three months to book an appointment with Dr. Loza I cannot see how that would be considered good medicine. Also he left me hanging without medication allowing me to suffer significantly and no it was not a narcotic.

i found the staff and nurse was very nice and friendly so what others say I cannot believe it they were very nice to me and my husband

His staff at the front desk are completely incompetent , uncaring and not helpful !! They show minimal concern , lack complete empathy and are completely devoid of any Compassion.

Dr Loza cared more about pleasing his employer than doing what was in the best interest of his patient who was critically ill.

Dr Loza is an excellent Doctor, he takes the time and listen to you. He speaks Spanish as well which is a big plus.

I seem to see a lot of the same types of reviews here around the front desk staff. Add another to the list. The physician assistant and the doctor himself are both very good. The staff at the front is an entirely different matter. Scheduling, results, requests on paperwork, and the list goes on. They are devoid of any element of customer service and do a severe disservice to an otherwise excellent clinical staff. If you can handle that, then he is an excellent doctor which you will be happy with.

Dr. Loza is a fantastic doctor, however his medical assistant and appointment scheduler have serious attitude problems. I called a few times over the last year to make an appt. and the scheduler huffed and puffed every time I called. I guess it is an inconvenience for her to do her job. Dr. Loza's medical assistant isn't much better. She has a serious attitude when she talks to you on the phone. It's a shame such a great doctor is surrounded by such a bad staff. Not sure if I will continue using him as my primary.

I have been with Dr. Loza for over 5 years. The reason I have stayed with him is because he is a very good doctor; however, after every encounter with his office staff (in particular Martha), I vow never to return. Finally after doing yet again another battle with Martha over my patient rights and what information I am entitled to I can not take it any more. The staff is defensive when you question them, rude when you try to question them, and essentially lie to you rather than admit the patient might actually know something than they do. This is a shame, although i cant blame Dr. Loza, the horrible customer service and patient care seems to be bred into Holy Cross employees.

I have been with Dr. Loza for some 5+ years and he is my family physician. He is very patient and has been there when I needed him. He has an hour or so every day that I ahve been able to walk in. He has a new office just of Commercial Bvld and off the beach location which wsa not convenient for me. His staff has been good especially Martha. Very pleased with this Doctor.

I thought I was the only one who had a bad experience with Dr. Loza's office. I was extremely put off when I first called to make my fist appointment. The person I spoke to on the phone was not very nice, extremely off putting and gave me totally bogus information as to what the doctor's practice was with regard to appointments and other things. Unfortunately I needed to see the doctor at that time, since my doctor had passed and was replaced by Dr. Loza, I had no choice. When I did go into the office I was even more disturbed by the behavior of the staff when I was called to the window to pay for my visit BEFORE I EVEN SAW THE DOCTOR. On top of the phone conversation, not a good start. I have never been asked to pay BEFORE seeing the doctor. I was already not in a good frame of mind because of the initial introductory phone call so when it was time to see the doctor I admit I had a little chip on my shoulder. However, when I met with the doctor I was presently surprised. I… did like him, appreciated the time he spent with me and detail he went into when speaking with me. However, I did not think it was necessary to go into the office for another visit just to be told the results of blood work, that did not include anything urgent or serious, and had never had to do that with prior doctors. Dr. Loza did in fact call me to talk to me about the results and what I needed to do, I did appreciate that. However, because of his staff I do not believe I will be going back. After reading other reviews here, sad to see I am not alone in this. Too bad because I agree the doctor may be good and nice but his staff takes away from that. Dr. Loza I suggest you take heed with what has been written on this site and have a heart to heart with your staff and/or clean house.
