Dr. Anica Bulic, MD

Dr. Bulic performs very precise technical yet safe procedures on children’s hearts in order to fix problems with their heart rhythm. She does this at one of the best pediatric hospitals in the world. There is no doubt that she is a highly skilled technician as well as a good teacher in order to secure a staff position at the hospital for sick children in Toronto. Dr. Bulic is very pleasant and patient centric in her consultations. But, on two occasions she has gotten ticked-off and turned snarky, when I questioned something technical/medical. It is obvious that she takes offense when parents ask her to defend something medical. I felt ridiculed by her when I asked her a medical question on two occasions. She thought I was challenging her authority; probably because of her gender. But this was not the case at all. I was simply asking why something was required. This is unbecoming of a doctor with her stature and power. And makes her seem less confident. However, one doesn’t need to… like her in order to let her treat their children. I’m sure her work and the work of her residents is fantastic and in my child’s case the problem was resolved without any issue and hoped I’ll never have to see her again.
