Dr. Anika Zaka Chowhan, MD

Dr. Chowhan was true blessing for our family to come across. We have 2 children under her care for over 10 years. We can see she has so much genuine love for All of her patients. I've personally seen her go way beyond the call of duty for on many occasions. We've been on Medicaid and after hearing from our friends who have Private Ins. they cannot believe some of the kindness she shows her staff and patients. We can tell you personally she does more than any Dr. we've ever seen that accept Only Private Ins. She accepts both, however, in our case we are low Income and thought we would be treated differently but that has never been the case. She is a true humanitarian and well deserving of All 5 Stars!!! I wish I could work there and her staff are so nice and have always gone the extra mile for our kids. They are very busy in the office but will do their best to treat every patient with the best service. They really have a great leader running this office in Dr. Chowhan. I have been taking my 3 kids for 4 years to this doctor the doctor is so nice but the staff specially the nurse is so rude and nosy when she talks to you she thinks she is making a favour, and she always forgets to call the patient and tell about the blood work results

I am very surprised to learn that my girl Mrs Addy is no longer working here the practice will never be the same without her what needed to happen is to get rid of is the nurse but wait it's impossible even if her English may not be perfect but she is really close to the doctor so she is not going anywhere what a shame

Annika was referred by my friends , which I found fine too. but, the staff is very nosy, and always given hard time on taking appointment, sometimes I feel like I am begging for something while getting it,like pls..pls..pls..for god sake and all. the reason for visiting was just the doctor which is also sometimes affected by her manner less and careless staff, anyways this is a good website, I found my baby's new pediatrician.....yehhh

I am a new, first time mother and was so nervous when my baby was feverish for the first time. I made an appointment with this office and was so comforted and relieved with the great care that my baby received. Dr. Chowhan has a lot of knowledge and was very kind. The nurse practicioner, Mary, was great also. You could tell she has a lot of experience and my baby loved her. I will go back to this office in the future. Dr. Chowhan and her staff are great!

Doctor Chowan has been our pediatrician for almost four years; she is an EXCELLENT doctor! From the first time we met her until now she continues to impress us and we feel our children could have no better care anywhere. She listens to our concerns, she respects our feelings, and she loves our children and shows this in the thoughtful and precise way she diagnoses their illnesses and growing needs and in the way she takes time to talk to them and to know them. Doctor Chowan is surrounded by an excellent, supportive staff. Miss Addy always answers the phone with the kindest voice. Miss Lilly and Miss Ashley are so kind and caring. And we just recently met the new RN and love her too! When we call with questions and concerns we are promptly called back and when we need to be seen there is always room made for us. We have never been turned away and have always been made to feel like we are very important. We think so highly of Doctor Chowan that even though we have moved we still… travel the long distance to see her and we have recommended her to other families. Doctor Chowan and Staff we want to thank you for how you have served our family and we love you all!

If I had 5 words to say about this office, they would be: "I am NEVER going back." I made an appointment for my son 2 weeks in advance, and had requested a specific schedule from BOTH my jobs to make sure that my son will be seen by this doctor, of whom my sister-in-law spoke highly of. When I arrived at the office--15 minutes BEFORE my appointment, I was turned away by the receptionist AND the office manager all because of one ridiculous office rule: If the patient does not call back to confirm their appointment, they loose their time slot and is given to someone else. When I started to reason with both the office managers and the receptionist they had told me that my appointment was given to someone who had booked in the last 24 hours while I had booked my appointment 2 weeks in advance. Working in a medical office myself, I believe that patient care should be the doctors primary concern rather than making money, which the office manager told me was the reason why my appointment was… given to someone else because the doctor cant "have my staff sit around for 45 minutes and do nothing." This just shows that rather than building a rapport and loyal clientele this doctor is just concerned with making a connection with our bank accounts. I will never be returning to this office, I will make sure that my son is seen by a doctor who, like myself, will ensure that his health and care is their primary concern.

Dr. Chowhan and her staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. As a registered nurse with 32 years of experience I have worked with many physicians. She has provided excellent care for my grandson. She and her staff are a model of great healthcare.

I love the fact that Dr. Chowhan is open to a delayed vaccination program. Besides the fact that she is an excellent pediatrician who knows very well what she is doing, she also is open minded and is good at listening to my concerns when it comes to the medical issues of my children. I love Dr. Chowhan's professionalism and also her caring attitude. I am very happy to give her office my highest recommendation.

I would highly recommend Dr. Anika Chowhan. She extremly caring and thoghtful to all my kids. Always easy to speak with and never comes across as one looking for the next dollar. True Gem!
