I have been battling Crohn's Disease for 17 years. Battling flares for about 11 of those years. I finally found a medication that was keeping me in a relative remission state for approximately 3 years. The Dr decided to hold my prescription and refused to refill my medication since I was a few months late on blood work to monitor my liver enzyme levels. Despite being on the medication for so long and having zero issues with enzyme levels on my previous 8 blood tests. So now I have been without my medication for 10 days and even after I got my blood work he is waiting for the results delaying the process even further. My symptoms are now coming back stronger every day off the medication and I am backsliding into a flare all because I am a couple months late on bloodwork. It's negligent that he is willing to let me fall back into a flare over the minute possibility of raised liver enzyme levels. If you are looking for a Dr that works with you and keeps you healthy, look elsewhere.

Dr Balani truly cares and makes time for his patients. I never feel rushed and he obviously is very well trained in his field.

The practice seems to have fixed their phone issues- apparently they have implemented a new electronic medical record and the staff was undergoing "training." Dr. Balani's bedside manner is terrific and his nurse Nancy is exceptional. Dr. Balani will spend a long time with you and make you feel comfortable about different treatment options. His expertise is in inflammatory bowel diseases like Crohns disease and ulcerative colitis.

Very calm and understanding , yet very intuitive. He makes you feel very comfortable and answers all your questions in depth . Handsome and smart ! Highly recommend
