Dr. Anil Kumar Parekh, MD

This guy's an numbskull...my wife requires psyche meds everyday, and he canceled her appt and left her without a refill prescription until he can see her again, weeks later! This guy should be banned from practice...no consideration for the health, well-being, and safety of his patients.

Went to him for about a year for depression and anxiety issues. Was told i was not needed to be seen for 6 months, only gave me a 3 month script for anti-depressants, ran out and was told i could not get refills without an appointment, closest appointment was 1 month out. Great job for a mental health provider with a patient dealing with major depression...

Dr. Parekh showed concern for my issues. I was going through a rough time in my life and Dr. Parekh was my savior! He is knowledgeable about psychiatric disorders. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Parekh was very knowledgeable and compassionate about my issues. He listened to everything I told him. This was my first time going to a psychiatrist, and now I feel much better than before. I highly recommend this doctor to anyone who is seeking help.

If I could give zero stars I would. Does not listen,no compassion and did not offer any alternative treatments

I saw Dr. Parekh for about a year. He never acknowledged anything I said to him, he could never seem to get to the appointment on time, he literally just ordered my medication. He has knowledge, but he did not use it with me and simply reordered my medication each visit.

Did not always acknowledge my depression and would simply order me more medication without actually seeing if I was okay

I will start with the reception staff....they were wonderful. I had a crisis with medication and they got me right in (this was my first visit to this office). The male nurse or whatever he was left a little to be desired, but Dr. Parekh was absolutely wonderful. He went through my whole medical history as well as my psychological history. I was on Lexapro for 15 years and it stopped working unfortunately. Family doctor switched me to Effexor...biggest mistake ever...this is why you need to visit a Psychiatrist for anxiety disorders. My heart was racing, I felt nauseous and dizzy from the Effexor. We talked about some different medication options and ended up deciding on Paxil. I haven't started it yet, but will be this evening. Dr. Parekh spent time with me and asked many relevant questions in order to finalize a diagnosis and treatment plan. I plan to see him again in 4 weeks; hopefully I will be feeling back to normal from the medication change. thank you so much Dr. Parekh!
