My second time for a colonoscopy with Dr. Patel. I rate his care and communication very high. The medical staff was friendly, professional, seemed to be working as one effective unit. i especially liked Nurse Sarah. Thank you for good medical care.

The doctor and staff here were great, I was so nervous but they put me at ease, everything was explained so clearly to me. Seemed like I was in and out in no time. They are so helpful, truly a great group.

Dr. Patel and his staff were very kind and caring. They did their very best to make an unpleasant procedure comfortable. Dr. Patel took his time explaining things afterward. I would recommend for a colonoscopy. Wait time could be improved. I had an 8:30 appointment and it was after 10:00 before my procedure began.

Second colonoscopy, same as 1st five years ago. Dr and staff were efficient and very sincere, nice, professional and knowledgeable. They get you in and out before you know happened. Would recommend to anyone.

Dr. Patel and his staff are accommodating in the manner in which they go beyond in explaining each step of the procedure and provide psychoeducation on how to manage your conditions more efficiently. He genuinely cares about the health of his patients. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

I've had Crohn's for 17 years, seen several doctors, and have never have such a poor "doctor's office" experience! I was on medications before seeing Dr. Patel and he agreed I should continue them, but would not authorize refills. He said his office didn't have time to contact my insurance. When I tried to work with his office on it they were very rude and told me I had everything I needed to fill it myself! I was also told three different times that they would call me back with some information and never did. When I called them to follow-up they said they didn't have a note to call me and that they were a very busy office! When I switched to a different doctor they wouldn't send my records and when I finally got them to they didn't send much. My new doctor was at a loss for how little he provided. I felt very disrespected by Dr. Patel and his staff and wouldn't recommend him to anyone!

Excellent care!! Dr. Patel and his staff provided professional compassionate care from the time I checked in at the front desk to the time I was discharged and was escorted to our vehicle. I highly recommend Dr. Patel and his staff.

Dr. Patel and staff work hard every day ! The nursing staff in the back Susan & Sarah work so hard to take care of everyone before and after procedures. Thanks for all you do...

After being a patient for nearly 10 years at age 42, with 2 endoscopies, annual visits, prescription refill/consult/adjustment appointments, and eventually being diagnosed with inactive Barrett’s Esophagus (BE), it was decided I should have annual endoscopes. After a year I went back for my first annual endoscopy to recheck the BE. After not receiving a call or message with the biopsy results, I called for them only to be told there was no evidence of BE (as if theyd never diagnosed the condition before in the first place) and that I wouldn’t need a recheck/endoscopy again for 5 years...??? I explained that I was nervously anticipating the results of the biopsy because of the diagnosis by the doctor there a year ago and I was perplexed by the fact that they didn’t even seem to know what I was taking about. At that time, I decided it was time to do my research and find a reputable GI doctor, perhaps even in Nashville, and scheduled an appointment. After calling GI Specialist office… twice to confirm what i needed to do, I came to sign the forms to have my medical records (that I’ve already paid PLENTY for) which was told would be ALL I’d have to do by the receptionist I spoke with. When I finally got there, well before their 5:00 closing time that they also told me on the phone, the front doors were locked and waiting room lights were off. I was let in a side door and treated as if I was inconveniencing them when I rushed all the way from one side of town to get there before they closed and it was still 4:55 p.m. Then, I was told (in a very patronizing and condescending tone) very different information that essentially resulted in me having to pay $25 cash or check fee (unless i wanted to pay an additional 3% fee for using debit/credit) to get MY OWN medical records from them AND they wouldn’t even fax them over to the doctor I’m taking them to. I’m having to fax them myself and carry them to my appointment in-hand after driving all the way back to their office again tomorrow to pick them up!!!!! TERRIBLE customer service and customer relations as if I was never more than just “one of the many” and not a loyal, paid-in-full customer for 10 years!!!!! I do NOT recommend this office!!!!!!

1st colonoscopy and I was nervous. Small wait, thorough desk, nurse and dr staff. They are procedural, thoughtful, comforting and detailed. I'm glad he was referred. I liked him and I trusted the entire staff.
