Dr. Anire O Okpaku, MD

I deeply regret choosing Dr. Anire Okpaku for my cosmetic procedure. Based on glowing online reviews and misleading advertising by AirSculpt, I expected a safe, minimally invasive alternative to liposuction. Instead, I was left with severe contour irregularities, visible scarring, and emotional trauma. My abdomen and chest now show deep dents, unnatural lines, and asymmetry—issues that require extensive and costly correction. Dr. Okpaku's technique was overly aggressive and careless. Follow-up communication offered no real support or accountability. I’ve since spent tens of thousands of dollars trying to repair the damage. Please be warned: marketing claims about this procedure and provider do not reflect the reality of what you may experience. I would not wish this outcome on anyone. When I sought private resolution, Okpaku’s attorney contacted me and attempted to intimidate me for speaking out. Please stay far away from this man.

I made the right choice in choosing Sonobello and feel blessed in having a wonderful,friendly and caring doctor and staff. Dr. Okpaku explained the procedure thoroughly and answered all my questions. He even called to check on me that evening and the following Monday his nurse called to see how I was doing. A big thank you to Bailey,Erin, Nurse Katie and a huge thank you to Dr.Okpaku. DO NOT USE THIS DR, I HAD A TUMMY TUCK AND BREAST IMPLANTS DONE WITH HIM FIVE YEARS AGO IN MAY, AND IM STILL LOOKING FOR A DR TO FIX WHAT HE DID TO ME, I WILL BE GOING TO LA TO HAVE CORRECTIVE SURGERY HOPEFULLY THEY CAN HELP ME, IM ONLY 40 AND A GOOD LOOKING GIRL BUT AFTER THE SURGERY MY BODY IS A MESS.

He did not do t what he told me he was going to do it and then he never refund my money for procedures not done

When he worked at Strax in Ft. Lauderdale. I had to come in 2x for revisions (dog ears), the only good part was they had no issues with doing the revisions... "they" meaning Strax. I'm not sure if it was no cost to him because he worked for a Group. It takes a good while to see true results from a TT. I can now see that he took too much fat from the flanks (love handles)... I have an indentation on one side and the skin hangs a bit. I'm considering a breast lift and thought to return to him, that way he can correct the flank area i mentioned. After reading these reviews, from so many and years ago. NO WAY would I take that chance. I was luck to have minimal damage the first time, I won't test my luck. I remember, after my surgery, ladies who worked at Strax stated he was known for "being too aggressive with the lipo. Sorry to those who have been damaged, I pray you find peace.

I first wanted a tummy tuck, but I chickened out at the last minute and had my breasts done. I wanted to be a C cup, but ended up being a DD. Am I upset? No. Dr. O told my husband that a C just was to small for my frame. Well, I have had a time adjusting to the new "me", but my breast are perfect! I have had to get used to being "bigger" up top and some of my shirts just do not fit like they used too! So that means new clothes!!! Sad, right? Everyday I like them more and more. As for my hubby??? What can I say? He is a happy man. The care I recieved from the staff was great. The follow up by Dr. O was outstanding. For me, I trust Dr. O completely!

My mom has been waiting such a long time for this... And finally, 3 months ago, on her birthday, she gifted herself with a body lift that changed her life forever in a good way! She's been waiting about 23 years for this since giving birth to her 6th child! Since her surgery, she has been in great spirits and everyone can notice how much better she feels about herself and about her new outlook on life. She looks beautiful! I'm so happy for her! Now she wants me to go but I have to admit that I never imagined having anymore surgeries after my 2 c-sections but... During my mom's recovery, I took her to a couple of follow-up visits and personally got to meet Dr. Okpaku and his team; I immediately fell in love with them because of their customer service skills and professionalism. I now believe that yes, maybe there is room for improvement so... I'm now hoping for my own transformation! I'm so excited to say that my initial appointment is made and I can't wait to tell you my… personal testimony just a few months from now... stay tuned!

its amazing how different my families experiences were than those other reviews....lol. my mothers surgery and healing went smooth and she now has a renewed attitude and her confidence is at an all time high! i also would like to say thanks to the staff for putting up with my mothers never ending stories... lol my mother is 1 of 4 referrals and all of them had great experiences and are now walking billboards of the doctors artistry and care. thanks again doc!!

He appeared on a popular TV show. Appeared to be rated top 10. I went to him and regretted it. He does not like to be asked questions. He is very evasive in answering questions with detail, such as "show me where the scar will be". After my surgery I was in excruciating pain. I thought I was going to die from the pain. The doctor is a 2 time International Grazie Jujitsu champion. After I woke up from my tummy tuck I felt like I had been in the fighting ring with him and he won. He does not like to give pain medication. He is not honest about how painful the procedure can be. I have seen other patients of other doctors and they made it look like a breeze. After a tummy tuck I was in bed for 3 months. Then after I was somewhat recovered I went to him to correct what is called "dog ears" and he wanted to charge me again. I paid him over $10,000.00, and he still wanted more money from me. He used to work for Strax Rejuvenation. Well that is exactly what I got. This is a… plastic surgeon and my scars are horrific. After he takes your money forget about any type of bedside manner. He has NONE. ... and don't believe that sales tactic about receiving ALL the DERMAWAVE treatments in your package of services that you need after you heal with the price quote. They do not give any treatments. It is a bait and switch routine to get you to bite and I fell for it. He used to be in a beautiful office on Brickell avenue in Miami. Now he is in a shoe box office in Dadeland on the 3rd floor of a medical building. Please don't go to him. I wish I would have researched more doctors. My results were not that great. My belly button was put in a very unnatural position that is not flattering. Find another Doctor. My experience was and still is a nightmare.
