Dr. Anis Onsy Mekhail, MD

Dr Mekhail operated on my cervical spine. I'd been carrying painful symptoms in my left arm/shoulder blade for close to a decade. I am 100% pain free after surgery. Dr Anis Mekhail is a talented, meticulous, genuinely caring surgeon as is Mr James Hanna NP. The ease in my recovery and my result exceeds all that I had imagined. They are truly a great team. I strongly recommend them both.

Did not bother to submit his Doctors notes, so I got denied the surgery the 1st time. The 2nd time I got denied for fusion surgery, he didn't bother to schedule me for a current x-ray or a MRI. This incompetence took almost 2 years of my life and pain every day of my life away.

very impressed on bedside manner of Dr. Mekhail as well as his staff very detailed and explains situations quickly just facts no fluff he has a plan that works on a case by case basis. I highly recommend his services there is no "I" on his team, his team did wonderful from customer service to compassion A+

First may I begin by reviewing Parkview Palos location. The receptionist(s) are rude. Wait times are horrific. Dr. Mekhail staff is not RN's and need to watch their language. Lots of profanity being thrown around especially from one who wears black angel wings on the back of their sweater. I had a ACDF in 2013. I have been in pain ever since. Today I am told I have yet to heal completely and was told the pain is most likely coming from somewhere else. It was a 2 minute explanation, That's it! Three cervical epidurals, major surgery, facet block and still have severe pain in my neck, don't even let his sidekick Jim operate on you, He is not a surgeon!!

I would not allow another doctor to treat my back!!! I totally trust Dr Mekhail and highly recommend him to anyone needing spine surgery!!!

I had an extremely difficult spinal fusion surgery. Dr. Mekhail and his staff were excellent-not only to me but also my family.

We buried my father due to his surgery. My dad was in worse pain when this butcher finished with my dad. R.I.P Dad! Maybe is still waiting on a return call from this jerk.

Dr. Mekhail spent time answering all of my questions during my consultation visit and made sure I was clear on what was going to be done during the surgery and made me feel totally comfortable going forward with it. I felt very confident with his knowledge and experience and had no second thoughts on having him perform the cervical spine fusion surgery. After 7 weeks, the surgery has been a success and I owe it all to Dr. Mekhail. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a similar surgery.
