Dr. Anish Pravin Pithadia, MD

Horribly rude. Came in with lumbar pain and Dr. Pithadia asked if I had taken anything prior to coming in. When I answered, “no”, his response was that his 6 year old child knows to take something before being seen by a doctor. That, among 3-4 other instances of similar rudeness to myself and his own Staff(!), was enough to motivate me to caution others against seeing him. See him if you like to be demeaned and belittled by a schoolyard bully masquerading as a Doctor.

Degrading, demeaning, belligerant. Women...stay far far away!

Dr. Pithadia is the best doctor I've ever had! I met him in the Urgent Care office when I needed a new doctor and he was so proactive and friendly I chose him as my regular doctor. He's very personal and friendly and thorough. They follow up on test results. He's controlled my blood pressure, cholesterol and pre-diabetes with medicines and a reduced-starch diet! And I can almost always get an appointment in the same week, same day if it's urgent, and he's always on time.

Dr. Pithadia is a great doctor. I met him at the Urgent Care office in the building where he works a couple days a week. I needed a doctor and I liked his friendly, proactive style. He's been the best doctor I've ever had. Turned around my blood pressure, cholesterol and pre-diabetes!

When I first came to Dr Pithadia he said that if I ever leave he would want to know the reasons I was leaving so here they are. I found Dr Pithadia very personable and friendly, he wanted me to change my whole family to his practice and explained he wanted to keep us all together in our family care. Since we have been very happy with our pediatrician we didn't switch the kids over right away - they are not quite 18 yet and since they were happy there I left them be for now. My husband switched to Dr Pithadia and didn't have any particular problem with him. The first time I had a problem was when I shared my weight loss idea with Dr Pithadia who had been encouraging me to lose weight. I told him I was going to try and go 100% sugar free (including fruit juice) and see how it improved my health and my weight. He said there is no point doing that if I am still going to eat other carbs (for example, rice) and don't come crying to him if I only lose a couple of pounds. I found this… very arrogant but whatever - I did it and I did indeed lose 30 pounds in about three months, not even being very strict about anything apart from sugar. Anyway, my daughter needed a note for her school and her pediatrician wasn't in that day, so since Dr Pithadia had the after school appointment I took her along. She had actually been to him once before, also when the pediatrician had been out of the office (she seems to be semi retired). Anyway, as soon as he came into the office and we explained the situation he reused to write the note (for her late arrival at school - it fits in her schedule but she needs a doctor's note to avoid actually going to study hall, time she can spend sleeping which is good for her teenaged brain!), and said that its just life, she has to get over it. He said if she goes to college and has an early class he won't write a note then either - totally different situation as typically college is all about scheduling classes by yourself, and not having eight of them in a row with no lunch hour! Anyway that's when he offered to MEDICATE her for DEPRESSION, just five minutes after walking in and deciding that his word is gospel. He doesn't live with her, he's not even her primary doctor and suddenly he's sure that she has depression and I am somehow the unhinged mother taking her doctor shopping. I never should have taken her to a doctor who wasn't her primary care doctor. That part was on me. I also shouldn't have taken her to someone who has been arrogant to me in the past. I believe that America relies too heavily on doctors who rely too heavily on drugs. It is not the job of a doctor just to fix problems chemically, and I've heard of cases where medical drugs have led to drug abuse down the line. This is why I will not be returning to Dr Pithadia, who showed that he was willing and eager to prescribe a drug BEFORE any preventative action like giving her a little extra sleep in the morning, at a time she doesn't even have a class scheduled.

I've seen many Dr's in the past yr after my dx of heart failure. I can't say enough great things about Dr Pithadia, he isn't rushed and actually listens and is very thorough and caring.

Met him once liked his manner and approach. Immediately changed my primary care physician to him.
