Anita Buitenwerf, NP

When Anita was in high school she volunteered on a cardiology unit stocking rooms. She credits this early exposure to the nurses, patients and families to pushing her to start a career in nursing. Neurology pushes her to continue to learn all the time. Anita's mom was also a nurse and taught her the importance of compassion and caring. When she comes to work each day, Anita looks forward to seeing her co-workers and patients. She has a special interest in neurology and stroke care.Anita participates and volunteers in church related activities. She also enjoys camping, reading skiing and spending time with her family.I have a passion for patients with neurological illness. I believe that listening to a patient's story and symptoms is integral to his or her medical care and is of utmost importance to their diagnosis and management.
