Dr. Anita Ilze Inveiss, MD

Dr. Inveiss was a fantastic primary care doctor for me and later for my children who both have disabilities. The wait was always ridiculous, and she was always worth the wait. The reason she got so behind was because she went by the needs of her patients rather than the demands of the clock. I always chose the last appointment of the day due to my work location, and that's why I usually had to wait. Dr. Inveiss was an excellent diagnostician, terrific at listening and understanding your concerns. I was sad to leave her practice when I moved away.

I have been a patient of Doc's for over 20 years as have my husband, daughter and mother. She is a warm, caring, friendly doctor. She explains things in lay men's terms instead of a bunch of medical jargon. She is amzazing at diagnosing. Have there been communication slips with office staff, long waiting times in waiting room? Of course there has. But if we need to get in for something serious they get us in right away. Maybe that's because we only say its serious if it really is and don't abuse and take advantage of them. We know that the wait can be extended so when making an appointment we take that into consideration. It's well worth the wait to have her for our physician. We are blessed to have her. The only way we'd change doctors is if she retired. Which I hope is a long time away. Thank you Dr Inveiss for all you have done for us. You're the best and we love you.

I went to this doctor because everyone said how good she is. My experience with her was not good. She missed a major diagnosis for me. I had even told her what I thought I had and a physical therapist (who she sent me to for therapy) also told her what I had and said I needed the test, but she refused to even order the test. She said I did not have it but I actually did. I only found out for sure by going and paying for a screening by myself since she refused! I would NEVER go back to her at all. Her office is a total mess, the carpet is so dirty it is terrible for a doctor to have such dirty carpet! Stay away!

She is an excellent physician who listens to what the patient has to say and spends ample time at each visit. She helped me get my blood pressure under better control than it has been in years.

Terrible follow-up from office staff, and felt that Dr. treated my concerns with a casual attitude. Her terrible office staff overshadow the fact that she is a good doctor. Seek another doctor if you are looking for appropriate follow-up from testing, especially if you are trying to conceive.

I started with Dr Inveiss more than 20 yrs ago and she has given me a quality of life beyond anything I could have imagined. I was fearful of MDs and delayed going to one when an adult for 17 yrs. I finally decided I must go and she dx'd hypertension and controlled that, helped me lose weight, helped me conceive, ensured my baby's safety when he was coming early by getting me in the best hands possible specializing in premature birth and neonatology at St Joseph's in Milw, treats my whole immediate family plus many of my extended family and I wouldn't go to anyone else. She is incredible and personifies the best of what a Family Practitioner is meant to be. Patient, insightful, intelligent and knowledgeable, committed, incredibly hard working, always available and invested. She nurtures where needed, has strength to pull you over the tough humps you don't want to accept, and never ever lets go. I love her like family and a dear friend, and feel so blessed to have her caring for me and… my family.
