Dr. Anita Kay Martin, MD

Dr Martin was my ob gyn for years. She use to be great and would recommend her to anyone but now its very apparent that she’s more concerned about the insurance payout than the actual patients theirselves. Her staff is always friendly and considerate but the same can not be said for her all the time. She comes in rushed to your appointments and doesn’t want to answer questions. She also didn’t seem to concerned when I told her that the birth control I had wasn’t working well with body and I asked to change it. She pretty much stated that what I have is an insurance problem and not a medical problem. I don’t know what that has to do with a certain birth control pill making me feel off but okay. I just can’t recommend her anymore and Im moving on to someone else. It takes her forever to tell you your pap smear results and when you do come in for the results she ask are you sure this follow up is to review results. Like Im pretty sure it says it in my chart. I wish she was like the doctor… I originally first met, who was kind, caring and patient and legitimately wanted to help you instead of seeing you as a number to increase her business.

I also have been going to Doctor Martin for years and noticed that she is all about the money and co-payment & less about the patient. Two weeks ago I went to see the doctor for an emergency apt. After, I asked her for few test results they had done 4 weeks before, she said she can not go over at this time as my reason for being in her office was for something else. I now had to wait a full month to get those test results. She used to be amazing, now I can not believe she is a doctor.

Patient education seems to be her #1 priority. Down to earth and very direct. Honest.

Doesn't take time to review results with patients...Stated..".we aren't scheduled to review results this visit....No one reviewed results with you?" Seemed rushed to get to next person ,despite giving me bad results about pregnancy. . Not too compassionate. ..from my viewpoint

I would recommend Dr. Martin to anyone that is looking for a thorough, knowledgable OB/GYN.

Excellent doctor. Very caring. Shows concern for mother and fetus. Very easy to talk to.

I would not change my ob/gyn for nothing. One of the best. I have not found any dr. that I am more comfortable with than Dr. Martin. She loves her patients and it shows in her work.
