Dr. Anita M. Pisharody, MD

This happened a while ago... I never leave 1 star reviews but this has really had a negative impact on my life so I need to do this to get this off of my chest so I can let go to move forward, so that hopefully she will read this and going forward think about her actions in dealing with patients, and for people who have caught the "short end of the stick" with this doctor or any dr. because you are not alone. She has lots of 4/5 star reviews and that is why I chose her initially. With the many chronic illnesses I have I needed a doctor who gave a darn about their patient. While the front desk staff was rude to everyone checking in and out, the nurse that took me back was kind (I wish he could have been the doctor). When Dr. Pisharody walked in she didn't shake my hand and when she did she used two fingers as if I was the nastiest thing on earth. She sat down and abruptly started talking to me in a harsh tone. I asked her if she was okay or did I do something wrong? She talked so… condesending to me. I am overweight but in all of my dealings with doctors in general she made me feel the lowest. I came in for help and she didn't want to help me. I didn't ask her for anything difficult because everything and all of my diagnosis' are in my chart. I was really in such disbelief that I didn't say anything to her. I just listened. I got up and walked out after the appt. was ended after less than 8 min. She denied me and was very mean to me all because she had an attitude and she discriminated against me bc I am big (or that is what it felt like at any rate treating people like trash isn't okay). I want her to know how I feel and I am sending a letter and video to her higher ups because she may have disrespected me in that office on that dreaded day but I am going to tell my journey and experience that I had with her. I may be big but I am human and NOBODY deserves to be treated like this. She may have talked down to me like I was nothing, but I am going to have my say in this. Everytime she or her staff takes down my comment on the internet I am going to put it back up. I am a good person. I don't argue, discriminate, or treat anybody ugly at any point and time. But because of her treatment, I was ashamed to go to any more doctor's. I had it with the medical system until I had to be rushed to the hospital several times at the end of 2018 and when I tell you that these doctors gave a darn, they cared and are still helping me to this day. I had given up. I find myself feeling so ashamed when Dr's have to examine me but each time they tell me its okay. I know she has lots of good reviews but this is my experience I had with her. This was more that just her having a bad day. This type of disheartening action comes from something that is deeply rooted in her heart. I wish her well. But I will tell my story. I am speaking up. Dr. Parishody is wonderful! She even called me in person to check on me the next day. She is the most caring doctor I have ever had & has a patient in me for life.

I would refer friends with preteen and teenage daughters to Dr. Pisharody, I know because I have a teen daughter. My daughter actually requested a female doctor because she did feel a little awkward with her previous male doctor. She had specific female questions that she needed answered and I found Dr. Pisharody several years ago. The doctor was so patient, kind and understanding to my daughter, which made my baby feel very comfortable. My daughter is now a college student and she will ask me to set up her appointments with her doctor as soon as she comes home during semester breaks. My daughter trust and enjoys going to Dr. Pisharody. I also see Dr. Pisharody as my general practitioner. We love her! Highly recommend you make an appointment with Dr. Pisharody.

caring and competent

I have seen Dr. Pisharody since she joined the practice at TFP. I have always found her to be warm, caring and practical. If you are looking for someone to access your best health care, she is the doctor for you. If you are looking for someone to prescribe unnecessary antibiotics and other medications without accessment then look else where. When I am scheduled for an annual physical, Dr. Pisharody will have me come in for blood work prior, so that the results are available and we can discuss any questions or concerns. I have never felt "hurried up" to get through the appointment.

I TOTALLY disgree with the other rater of Anita Pisharody at Triangle Family Practice! I've been seeing her for several years now ... since she first treated me for a broken foot because my PCP was not available. Indeed, when my PCP left the practice, I CHOSE Dr Pisharody as my new PCP (rather than accept TFP's default assignment) because of the care/concern/bedside manner she showed me with my foot! I have never been sorry for my choice! She always makes me feel as though I have her complete attention and she never makes me feel I need to rush through our appointment. Dr. Pisharody solicits my opinions and concerns when determining my health care and offers recommendations based upon current findings.
