She has been a blessing, always kind when things are not so good.

I know this physician has had some positive reviews but it is this patients experience that both she and her office staff are wholly incompetent to treat any form of Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Trying to get the office to do anything with respect to insurance companies and letters is like pulling teeth. The office staff would claim that insurance companies were contacted but in reality the company had no record of such contact. And Jana was always mysteriously on the phone with the insurance company at the time the patient would call the office with an inquiry. In the allegedly Dr. Torok claimed that "there is nothing more we can do." Basically this patient was left on their own, but miraculously after a quick referral to Vanderbilt all medications were immediately approved. If you have inflammatory bowel disease I would STRONGLY suggest the inflammatory bowel disease center at Vanderbilt. This woman's office is horrible. If you go there, good luck.

Dr. Torok saw my teenage son for a sensitive stomach, fatigue and inability to gain weight. After running initial tests she had an idea of a diagnosis and recommended a colonoscopy/endoscopy to confirm her suspicion. During this process, we found Dr. Torok to be very sympathetic, very thorough, professional yet still approachable and very knowledgeable. She answered every one of our questions and we had a lot of questions. She was not the first doctor we had been to so we were thrilled that she figured out the problem and even happier with the way we were treated in the process.

After having had pancreatitis for 8 yrs., I switched to Dr. Torok and she immediately found my problem and saved my life. My pancreas was at the last stage before going into cancer and she sent me to St. Louis for surgery. I have a whole new life now and no more pancreatitis. I can eat anything that I want and no more pain. If it hadn't been for her, I might not have lived much longer.
