Went to great lengths to consolidate services for fewer trips to Cleveland (1.25 hour drive). Caring, gentle manner, honest with patient and family.

My mother went to dr. For a second opinion and now she insists my mother keep coming to her. She also says the dr. Who has been treating her for 3 plus years is wrong with her treatment for aml and does this in a round about way. My mother is very naive and I believe dr. Sees that and uses it to her advantage. Would not recommend her as she contradicts what other Dr says.

Simply put ! Dr. Advani never made me feel like i was just her next patient assignment . I could tell with her its PERSONAL ! Knowing that gave me total confidence in her leadership decisions and i didn't have to worry about her doing her due diligence. I was scared and fighting for my life ! But i knew she was doing her part so i could focus on doing mine . Great leader, wonderful listener, decisive, humble, tireless worker with the spirit of a volunteer . My sister in-law who was with me every step of the way said it best "Dr. Advani makes you feel like you are her first patient out of medical school" In my case. I truly consider Dr. Advani a blessing !

I feel that she cares for my well being. Recently another surgeon had ordered blood work. She received the results as well, called me at home to have me go to er due to elevated numbers, turns out I was very ill and kept at the Clinic for 7 days. This isn't the first time she's made the call.She has the kindest bedside manner, answers all questions, follows up after visit, even when I don't. I couldn't ask for a better doctor.

I have known Dr. Advani for many years and I have to address the negative responses. Anyone that has come in contact with Dr. Advani knows these comments are and can not be true. I have seen her in the most stressful situations and she has always handled them with kindness and professional. She one of the few physicians that gives everything to her patients and actually truly care for them.

I am writing this on behalf of our son who was a patient of Dr. Advani. Dr. Advani is the most caring and compassionate physician we encountered during our son's year long battle with ALL. She explained thoroughly every aspect of the disease and the treatments that were being used and did so in a caring and supportive way. She was never too busy to answer our questions or help us cope with our fears. When the therapies available at Cleveland Clinic did not work, she helped us in the process of getting our son into a trial being done in NYC. She was always there for us with emotional support, collaboration with other physicians and the best of medical care for our son. I wish I could say that he recovered, but it was not for lack of care or trying. We are thankful for all that Dr. Advani did.

I have never commented about a doctor in any forum before. Dr. Advani went out of her way to make an appointment for me during a very busy week. At the appointment, she told me I would need a CT scan. I have never had a CT scan. When I asked about the invasiveness of the exam and the dyes, she said there were none. She made an appointment for me for the next day. I immediately phoned my first-in-command specialist who said a CT scan was not warranted in this case. I canceled the appointment. Dr. Advani called the next day and berated me for five minutes on the phone. "What you did was wrong. What you did was bad. If you don't care what we have to say, you shouldn't waste our time making appointments with us." I filed a grievance with Cleveland Clinic. She apologized via the Ombudsman's Office and offered to speak with me about "future care and treatment." I don't think so.

The way that Dr. Advani gave the news to my husband that his AML was no longer in remission was not compassionate. She gaves us the news, told him he would die within a few weeks or a month, left and did not come back in the room. No last chance options, no hope, no nothing because he was 69 years old.
