Dr. Anjali Mangat, MD

I strongly advise against seeking care from this psychiatrist. In my experience, she demonstrated a concerning lack of competence, particularly in her refusal to communicate with or accept input from the patient’s family. By disregarding the family's input, she played a direct role in the circumstances that led to our loved one's hospitalization. Unfortunately, Kaiser’s quality control system only accepts feedback directly from the patient, making it difficult to address or report concerns about provider performance. As a result, negligent or inadequate care can go unchecked. Her failure to recognize the severity of the situation—despite repeated warnings from the family—and her lack of timely intervention contributed to a preventable hospitalization, resulting in significant emotional and financial costs to the patient, the family, and Kaiser.

Logged on for a video appointment and waited 30 minutes for her to show up. I missed a call from a restricted number 20 minutes into the appointment and tried to call back my health provider assuming it was her. I was told Dr. Mangat said I didn't show up to the appointment and that she had tried contacting me multiple times. She blatantly lied since I was waiting on the video conference for over an hour. Completely unprofessional; wise to stay away from her.

This “doctor” needs a doctor much more than her patients do.

Dr. Mangat is warm, courteous and attentive. She reviews your information before you enter her office and is ready for you. She takes the time to discuss all and every symptom you may have and makes suggestions. She works very hard, and still has a pleasant demeanor every time I see her. Out of the several doctors before her, who left for various reasons, I look forward to seeing Dr. Mangat and am very comfortable with her.
