Hi, my name is Anjali, and I'm a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner serving clients in New York. I specialize in anxiety, burnout, depression, ADHD, insomnia & sleep issues, race & cultural identity, stress management, relationship issues, college & graduate student mental health, family issues, life transitions, LGBTQIA+, gender & sexuality topics, OCD, bipolar disorder, and PTSD. I’ve been in nursing for over 6 years and completed my master’s and psychiatric training at Hunter College School of Nursing. I’m passionate about destigmatizing mental healthcare, and together with my colleagues at Lavender Psychiatry, I’m on a mission to create a world where feelings are felt, respected, and cared for.

My therapeutic style is characterized by warmth, engagement, and a genuine personal connection. I believe in establishing a strong, collaborative relationship with each client, where we work together to make informed decisions about their treatment. I chose to be a psych NP …because I cannot imagine doing anything else in my life except for helping those who are finding their way and their voice. I always wanted a career in nursing and in healthcare due to my desire and passion of wanting to help those who need it the most.

I have worked with a wide range of clients, including students, parents, professionals from various fields, skilled tradespeople, service industry workers, retail employees, entrepreneurs, artists, and technology experts. I am committed to providing a safe and supportive space where each individual feels heard, understood, and empowered to achieve their therapeutic goals. Starting treatment can be a scary and intimidating process, I’ve successfully treated many people who are new to psychiatric care.
