Dr. Anjali Thawani

Dr. Thawani and her team were very unprofessional, lack compassion, lacks sympathy, made uneducated assumptions, lack communication skills, and lack the ability to retrieve medical records. I had several opinions for my peace of mind. Thawani told me that I had to have an advanced stage of cancer in order to get a P scan. Evidently, she got offended when I had another opinion and had a P scan done. She had her navigation nurse to call to fuss at me about having second opinions at multiple facilities. Eventhough I thought it was disrespectful, I calmly explained to her that I did it for my peace of mind. I also stated that the P scan and a C scan were the only images I have had at another facility. She started to name other hospitals that I have never been to. I told her it must been an error. Meanwhile, I had told her scheduler that I was ready for surgery. A week later Dr. Thawani wrote me a long email ( didn't call like a professional should have) fussing at me about the same… issues stating it was impossible to retrieve my medical records. She demanded to retrieve them and drop them off at her office before my appointment. Doctors hasn't requested this from patients since 1980.

My surgical oncologist, Dr. Thawani, is absolutely outstanding. Her compassion, knowledge, and thoroughness are unparalleled. I wholeheartedly endorse her offerings.

Dr. Thawani makes a life changing diagnosis less scary. She explains everything in great detail and answered all questions honestly. It’s obvious she keeps up to date with current breast research, trials, etc because she really knows her stuff. Her nurse, receptionist, and nurse navigator have been so helpful and nice through this process. I would recommend her to anyone facing a breast cancer diagnosis.

From the very first visit till now, we have had great care and commitment from Dr. Thawani. She is very knowledgeable, patient, and caring towards her patients. She shows utmost confidence in her treatment and care. She explained each and every step of the treatment plan and we came out with positivity with each appointment. We are very grateful that we had her as our mom's surgeon. thank you to the entire staff as well.

Dr. T passionately cares about me through my journey with breast cancer. She is a talented surgeon, she is a fierce advocate for her patients, and she will fight for you. I feel lucky and safe in her care.

The receptionist is less than helpful and very short and rude on the phone. “We are all booked” ...no offer of another day or times available or anything. Good luck getting in to see this dr.

Dr. Anjali Thawani is by far one of the best if not the best in the field of medical science. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 80, and the care and bedside manner which was provided by Dr. Thawani was unparalleled by any other Doctor that I have met, and trust me, I have met quite a few since I suffer from several ailments. Dr. Thawani also performed, successfully I might add, a mastectomy on my Mom and never ever let her feel any fear or confusion and talked to her and explained everything so clearly and spent so much time with the patient that it felt like she was more of a family member than her Oncologist. I would heartily endorse and recommend Dr. Anjali Thawani for any kind of care or surgery if you or a family member has had the misfortune of being diagnosed with such a horrible disease and I can personally guarantee that you will not find a more caring provider and support staff to back her up.

Dr. Thawani is one of the most caring persons that I have ever met and leave aside the fact that she is an amazing surgeon and a very capable doctor. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and was in a panic mode and Dr. Thawani not only answered all her questions and the family’s but also calmed my mother down and went above and beyond her duties as a Doctor to allay any fears. She performed a mastectomy on my Mother and did a great job of it too. Terrific bedside manner and I would vouch for her 100%. Highly recommend her as an Oncology Surgeon.
