Dr. Anjeet Saini, MD

My experience with Dr. Saini was not positive. She was the drop-in replacement for my doctor of 35 years who recently retired. I saw her for my first wellness visit, which should have been covered with no co-payment under the ACA. In preparation for the appointment, I filled out the paperwork online in advance. When I arrived at the office, the receptionist presented me with one more document saying it must be signed in to receive care. It was an agreement that I would pay for anything outside of a wellness-checkup. I told the receptionist that I did not want any care beyond a wellness check, and she said I would have to discuss that with the doctor, which I did the moment I saw her. I reluctantly signed. I have high blood pressure, managed with the same medication for the last 20 years. My BP was normal that day, and the doctor asked me if I had any concerns. I answered no. Evidently that "discussion" constitutes care outside of a wellness visit. The doctor entered a… diagnostic code for hypertension and I was charged $86 for the visit. This feels like a trap, and I’m sure its happening to patients that can afford the $86 less than I can. When I disputed the charge, it took months to get an answer, and they ultimately refused to change the bill. The admin from the office implied that I should have declined to have any discussion about blood pressure with the doctor. Really? This is unethical at best, and probably worse. I won't go back.
