Dr. Anjli Maroo, MD

I'm a resident physician at Cleveland Clinic and through work I've crossed paths with Dr Maroo. I was impressed by her closed loop communication and eagerness to teach. When my dad was diagnosed with a fib I recommended her to be his cardiologist based off my brief interactions. Since seeing the level of care she has provided to my father I wholeheartedly stand by my decision. She is incredibly intelligent and knows how to effectively communicate that knowledge to her patient in laymen's terms. She is also VERY thorough. She asked about all aspects of his cardiac health and personally confirmed and updated his social history, family history, past medical history, surgical history, etc. She also uses shared decision making when deciding how to manage her patients. She took the time to go through the pros and cons of each option. She also looked for coupons to help my dad make the medication she prescribed less expensive. She goes above and beyond for her patients. I feel very grateful… that she is looking after my dad.

I had done so because we have had mutual patients and was impressed with her level of communication with patient's primary care physicians. After seeing first hand how she takes care of her patients I will continue to recommend her wholeheartedly. She is intelligent, incredibly thorough, patient, kind, and explained things at a level that my parents (who are immigrants) could understand. She also uses shared decision making to help guide her medical recommendations - taking the time to give the pros and cons of the various options. I feel confident in her medical decision making and know that she genuinely cares for the patients she takes care of.

She takes the time to listen to you and not just about your heart! I trust her completely!
