Dr. Anjum Iqbal, MD

After years of trying drugs, physical therapy, acupuncture, and being dismissed by ignorant doctors, etc., I was fortunate to see Dr. Iqbal. I was fully informed of options, chose a cortisone injection, which he did professionally and perfectly, alleviating my pain for 7 months! The procedure team he works with for injections is awesome too. He is an outstanding doctor. The only downside is the receptionists in this giant practice are often rude and unhelpful. Beware also of some of his doctor colleagues. They're not all as good as Dr. Iqbal.

I went to Dr. Iqbal a few years ago when I threw my back out. I have disc wear and tear issues and every so often my back gives out and I am seeking a back Dr or chiropractor to help me get through. His medical advice to me was that I should join a gym. I will not go back to him.

He's amazing at pain management

Although it was very difficult to get an appt. it was worth the wait. Dr Iqbal sat with me and heard all my problems without attempting to leave the room. I spent a total of 40 minutes in his office speaking with him directly.

After nearly 3 years of bedrest horrific daily pain and visits to many other drs. finally found someone who was willing , able and did treat my problem with injections, not a cure but the truth and relief for now. At least we have the right diagnosis. The neurologist, orthpedic, and primary were all lost causes. I love this doctor. He is skillful and knows what he is doing. and he cares. The other reviews are unfair and not correct.. It is very busy, they have emergencies, sometimes you have to wait. He is highly regarded by his surgical team at the hospital as well.

I WOULDN'T EVEN GIVE ANY STAR!!! WAIT TIME WAS HORRIBLE (OVER AN HR). SECRETARY WON'T FOLLOW UP WITH ANYTHING. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!!

I was referred to and seen by Dr. Iqbal for a diasgnosis of RSD. I was told that I was going to have an injection in my neck to ease the chronic pain. I was told that it might take up to 3xs before the injections work. The Dr. told me that they could schedule the injection whenever when you speak with his staff they tell you that he shouldn't tell you that because they only do the MAC injections every 3rd Thursday of the month. So I had my injection. My left eye swelled shut, my left hand was on fire and was extremely swallon. I thought WOW this is gonna work - finally !! I will not be in Chronic pain anymore. The next day my hand was purple and ice cold. I called Dr. Iqubal's office and left a message for his staff - I can't even believe no one called me back. So then it was the entire weekend and I called again on Monday morning 1st thing left another message and finally I recv'd a call back Monday afternoon.....Good thing I wasn't dropping dead after my surgery when they… tell you call incase of any problems, don't bother no one will call you back for days. I came back in to see the Dr. he said well what do you think did the injection help and I said I don't beleive so and he said well then you must not have RSD otherwise it would have helped...WHAT then why is that you would schedule me again for another injection for the following month. His staff said that I would be scheduled for another injection within a week or so because it's better to do the injections closer together.... This entire staff is very conflicting. The staff and my Dr have not completed my paperwork for work, have said that they would call me back on certain days and never returned my call. How are you supposed to put your life and faith in a Dr and his staff when they can't even call you back, finish your paperwork so you can return to work. Tell you have a chronic illness, then you don't then you do ????? I'm questioning whether I should even get my next injection at the end of this month but it's the chronic pain that keeps me nagging them and babysitting them. That's a full-time job all in itself !!!

Terrible wait and horrible assistants. Don't bother with this guy.

After 3 unsuccesful consults with other dcotors this Dr.seems to have a grasp of issues and is willing to treat me. The wait was excessive, they overbook.
